      We bought a couch from Calvin’s in the summer of 2018. We paid more money. For extra firm cushions. They keep breaking down and have been replaced at least 4 times. I was told to keep calling and they will replace them as needed. I called in May and said they were sinking again, I only weigh 123 pounds and now live alone . I was told to call back in June since there was a foam shortage. I got a call in august that they were in and I needed to pick them up. I explained I’m legally blind and don’t drive and under care at *******. I couldn’t get there They called a couple weeks ago and said the service man would bring them out but I had to pay since i am supposedly out of warranty. When I asked how much I was told that was between me and the service man. He came out Tuesday 9/28, was here 16 minutes. When I said they looked firmer, he laughed and said until they break down again. Then, he told me I owed him $100 and to make it out to Mike S . I’m on ** and furious

      BUYER BEWARE - Went to Calvin's Furniture Store in February 2021 to make a final furniture purchase as I was retiring in the summer of 2021. Bought a couch and two chairs. Was told the furniture would be in July 2021. July came and I did not hear from Calvin's so I called and was told factory had an issue with foam - none to be found. Looks like furniture will be here in September. September came and went with nothing from Calvin's. I called again and was told same - foam issue. I asked to speak with Bob (owner and also waited on us) for a refund. Bob stated that the store policy was no refund on this order. Factory could not make furniture but Calvin's could do nothing about it. Bob did not offer a solution. December came and I called Calvin's again. I was told that my couch and chair were in but other chair was on back order. Partial furniture in store and NO PHONE CALL. I asked why I was not called and was told that "they are too busy and short staffed." They did offer delivery on what they had without charging me. No thank you - want it all at once time. February 2022 came (1 year since ordering) and I called again - same issue, back order. March came, called and Bob told me chair was finished and to be delivered to them March 14, 2022. That day came and went with nothing from Calvin's. I called on the 18th and Bob told me chair was leaving factory. He could not give me a date of arrival as there are trucking issues and COVID still. Finally April 26, 2022 my furniture was delivered. I will not recommend or shop at Calvin's again. For a family owned and operated business (75 years) they sure have lost what the original generations stood for - customer service. I realize that there have been supply chain issues, however, customer service was no where to be found. They have your money - done deal for them but very frustrating for the customer

      It is always our sincere intention to give our customers the utmost in service, convenience and quality merchandise at the best possible prices available. As it has been very much publicized in the news, the extraordinary and frustrating issues everyone is experiencing with manufacturing and freight carriers. It is our understanding in this case that Calvin's offered at no charge to deliver to the customer, whatever furniture did arrive prior, customer refused. As we did state, it is next to impossible (due to staff shortage and volume) to keep customers updated. We suggest the customer call us and we will be happy to check status. The information we receive from the manufacturer is then passed along to the customer. However, delivery dates are constantly changing. It is of absolutely no benefit or value to Calvin's not to get our customer their furniture as soon as possible. Please accept our apology for any inconvenience you may have been caused.
