I received a missed call. less than five minutes later my ex husband said he got a call from them looking for me. I called the company back and the woman was extremely rude. she continued to interrupt me, and told me that she could not tell me how low of a settlement they would take. then when i offered a number she suddenly had all kinds of guidelines she has to go by "half the total balance is the minimum" etc. Although when i asked her for that information initially she said she can not give that to me. Finally after i asked her NUMEROUS times to stop interrupting me, she then would sarcastically ask if she was allowed to talk. When i explained how a conversation works she said that I was making HER feel uncomfortable. She continued to repeat the same questions over and over without listening to anything, only wanting answers to her questions. A little bit of empathy or customer service would go a long way when people are trying to take care of something so stressful and based on all the other reviews this is a common problem.

When speaking with the consumer, we were trying to figure out what they had to offer in regards to the balance and how they would be willing to resolve the account. The consumer wanted to know the lowest that we can go in regards to the settlement and unfortunately, we have certain guidelines we have to follow with specific clients so we aren’t able to provide that right away. We apologize for the communication problems during the conversation, that is not our intentions. We have assigned a different representative to the account so no further issues arise with the consumer. We are here to work with the consumer in resolving the account in a timely manner. This company called me and left a message stating they have tried contacting on numerous events. But I know they have not because I have no record of this on my phone or voicemail. The representative picked up and told me I had a debt that was going to court and if I wanted to avoid that process I should pay the debt. I started asking questions as to who the debt is with, how much the debt is, what year was this debt obtained and he did not want to answer the questions. He even went ahead and said “we are not a debt collection agency”. He even said “If you don’t pay right now you will have to just go to court”. He wouldn’t answer my questions because he said he was “too busy”. And then asked if I was going to pay and I said I need to know what this is for and he said “well looks like you want to go to court”, and hug up. That’s when I knew they were a collection agency. Very rude and short and not answering my questions.

I got a call from Nathan R**** with Unity Asset. He was looking for my son, who is an adult who does not live with me. I asked Nathan what this was about, he refused to give any information. When I asked him if he was a debt collector or attempting to collect a debt, he said no. Very strange call. Wants information, but will not share who wants it, for what purpose, for what use, and why. I believe this must be a scam.

I keep receiving a call from one of their male representatives, I asked him who he was, and he just said Unity Asset. I asked what sort of company this is, he then replied that he was calling to get my side of an incident that was filed. I asked what incident he is referring to as I thought it had to do with a vehicle accident that a family member was injured in, he replied I will get into that later. He then asked to confirm my name but would not answer any of my questions. If I have already confirmed my name yet you refuse to tell me who you are or what you are calling in regard to then I will not engage in the conversation any further. After I have confirmed my name and yet you still would not provide me information about an "incident" then why call. You are calling under false pretense saying that it is regards to an incident like something is wrong. you are causing people unneeded stress. My family member is still in the hospital from an accident and when you call saying you are calling regarding an incident but don't provide information people expect the worse and start calling around. And please don't reply to me talking about HIPPA and Privacy because I did verify my name, yet you refused to provide information to me!! This company is horrible and need to reevaluate their ethics and maybe go through some training before calling customers alleging that there has been an incident that occurred. This is nothing more than a scare tactic. I hope you guys eventually get investigated for your approach to clients.

I would like to formally complain about this company and specifically Nathan R**** who called me on 3/28/2023 asking for my son. My son is a young adult and I never get phone calls to my personal phone from anyone asking for my son because he has his own cell phone. I asked Nathan what the call was in reference to and he declined to say. As a parent, I asked him several times if there was something wrong or if there was an emergency with my son. He declined to say. I took his information for the purpose of submitting this complaint. Nathan intimated that there was an issue with my young adult son and had me worried calling around afterwards and making sure that everything was ok. The way that Nathan explained what he was calling for was deceptive. Due to personal health issues, I had a very hard time after this phone call which caused stress and anxiety. Nathan was deceptive in the reasons he gave to me for calling me and when asked specific questions he refused to answer. I called this company back and asked to the person who answered what type of company this was because Nathan initially refused to tell me. The person on the phone also refused to tell me the type of business this is but was asking me for my son's information. So basically, they expect you to give them personal information but refuse to even tell you what the company specializes in. Look them up on the internet and you can see that they have numerous complaints from other customers and have a history of calling people over and over and over again trying to get information. The company has poor business practices and left me with stress and anxiety after speaking with them.

I received a call from a rude rep, saying she was calling from Unity Asset. She wanted me to provide my information and stated she was giving me an opportunity to explain to her what happened. She did not state what the call was about. She said she was calling on behalf of her client but refused to tell me who the client is. I hung up the phone and she called me right back asking why I hung up on her. I advised her until I know this is not a scam call, I will not share any information with you. She began yelling and screaming so I hung up again.

I have been getting non stop calls from a Nathan R**** at this company. This account went into collections because I forgot to update them with a new account. Never once was I contacted prior to this going into collection to make a payment. But all of sudden its either I make a payment or they will be forced to go ahead with legal action. I have been having slight financial issues and can't pay as soon as they would like me too, I set up a payment arrangement just to try and see if that will give me time to pay. But I mentioned that I can no longer pay and yet he is still calling and harassing me everyday, his tone came of very demanding .This has been going on for over two weeks now. Maybe if I had more time and patience from this company, some payments could have been made when possible. Why should legal action be pursued if I can't pay by a desired time and has never been contacted about this prior ? This is without any prior notice of collection, or anything. I believe this is unethical and should be punishable under FCRA.

Upon investigation of this matter, the consumer was contacted in regards to an account we had placed in our office for review. We were reaching out in regards to an outstanding debt that the consumer had within our office. We originally spoke to the consumer on 1/24 and they wanted to resolve but didn’t have a card on hand and will give a call later. We never heard from the consumer until 1/26 which she stated she wouldn’t be able to do what was originally discussed and needed to do $100.00 bi-weekly which we had no problem setting up for the consumer. Never once did we hear from the consumer stating that she can no longer pay. The last time we spoke to the consumer is when she set the arrangement up and she never stated she wouldn’t be able to do the $100.00 bi-weekly. We tried reaching the consumer to see if they still wanted to handle but we never heard from them so we just marked it as not wanting to handle it voluntarily. We do not state any legal action will be taken, we are simply just calling to see why initially defaulted on the loan and if they wish to handle the account voluntarily. The account was placed in a cease and desist status and no further contact has been made or will be made by our company.

In order to do that, we have to verify the last 4 of their social before going into depth on the matter. We also can verify the date of birth before going into depth but we do not just give the social out to anybody without doing some verification first. After verifying the last 4 with the consumer, they were setup on an arrangement to handle the account so we are not sure how the consumer is looking to move forward with the account. I was contacted by a Mrs. W**** today regarding an outstanding balance on a payment plan I thought I had paid off (apparently not). Up until this point I had not received any phone calls or mail regarding a past due payment. I was under the impression the account was on auto-pay. Mrs. W**** called me and kept rushing me and not answering my questions. I felt overwhelmed and when I tried to stop her long enough to get a better explanation (she kept repeating the same thing about paying in full) I was told I was yelling at her and being nasty. I was flustered and overwhelmed. It seemed like I was getting a call with someone demanding I give them money without proper identification. She proceeded to transfer me to someone else without explanation, so I hung up. Mrs. W**** called again. I answered, then hung up. This happened again and instead of me hanging up she stated, "I'll just mark you as a refusal to pay" and hung up. I hadn't refused anything, just trying to get clarification and was insulted by some company I had never heard of. I called back and stated I would set up a payment plan, but I wanted to speak to her supervisor, apparently, she has none. Apparently, Mrs. W**** is at the tippity top of the company. She called from ###-###-#### but when I called the 883 number on the website, they had the same intro and everything. I stated I was a broke college student and had no money in this exact moment to give her. She got extremely "offended" and reminded me I was being recorded. I never once yelled at her, I did try to speak but was consistently interrupted and ultimately insulted. I still have no idea what is going on. If I owe money somewhere I am happy to pay, but I refuse to be insulted when I try to receive basic information. I am the one who proposed a payment plan and yet was still treated like crap. Shady and crappy company.

Upon investigation of this matter, the consumer was contacted in regards to an account we had placed in our office for review. We send out verification of the account upon receipt of the account but during the call the consumer stated that the address that they had, she never lived there so she wouldn’t have known who we are when we called and we have no control over that. We introduce ourselves at the beginning of every call and if the consumer does not feel comfortable enough speaking to us then they can always request for validation but this consumer never did that. Upon speaking to the consumer we were under the assumption that she was not able to handle anything as she stated she was a college student and didn’t have any funds at the moment. When we tried to discuss payment arrangement options, the consumers attitude changed as if she didn’t’ want to handle this voluntarily at all. All our representative was doing was going over the requirements that we have from our client in order to get the account resolved. We apologize if the consumer did not feel comfortable and wasn’t treated right but that is not our intention at all. Better Business Bureau: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.  I voluntarily gave payment information for the account and I was the one to offer this solution. The representative was aggressive and rude- insulting me and not allowing me to ask clarifying questions. I was cut off multiple times so I hung up. My attitude changed once I was insulted and told I was being transferred I decided I would not continue the conversation. This company has multiple of the same complaints made against them by other people.  Regards, ******* ********
