      On behalf of *********-Four years ago, I was told by a veterinarian in ****** that my 1.8lb Chihuahua named **** was too small to be spayed. Two weeks ago, she was with faced a life-or-death condition called Pyometra due to not being spayed. I took her to Veterinary *************** and was told that if I want the best specialist to save her, go to Veterinary Medical Center of Long Island. It was a Sunday, and they had to call an internist in for the ultrasound and confirmed the findings. Dr. ********** ****** was called in to do the procedure and within hours she called me to discuss the case. She reassured me that **** would be intubated, monitored for temp and sugar given her size. Dr. ****** would get in and get out, and the scar shows how precise her incision is. **** recovered well and is back to her usual self. Thanks so much for your help *****!

      From the moment you walk into the medical center, everyone at the front desk is pleasant, kind, friendly and accommodating. The place is very clean, my doctor, **** MacLesse, was amazing and knows her field. I highly recommend this place.

      They almost killed my dog and are still sending me bills to pay. I would only bring my pet here to use their speciality services. The ** department with internists are terrible.

      After bringing in my dog *** a little over 3 weeks ago he is doing fabulous. As I said in my last review I have gone to numerous vets since getting *** at 7 months old. His stools were always loose and he could not always hold it in. Now he is in top shape and a pleasure to walk him. His stools are always excellent now. *************** is extremely knowledgeable. I have spent numerous thousands of dollars and not gotten results. Here I got the results and peace of mind. You can't ask for more.

      Unfortunately I am a past employee. There were numerous things that caught my eye during my 3 month employment in the *** *** and **** like stated elsewhere sit in their office & when you have a concern, act like you are a bother. If I was to see *** or **** out of their office, youll see them panic and run back like ******** in the wild. So many animals not being treated with the best, quickest care. Employees worried more about their weekend plans with eachother than to help the animal in front of them. After feeling depleted after going to ER supervisors, and now head HR i couldnt take anymore. I couldnt look owners in the eyes and say we are doing all we could when I know whats really going on back there. It is unorganized beyond belief & all my reports were answered by well check in with the supervisors. You mean the supervisors sitting in critical care all day not knowing whats going on? I recently reached out to ******************************* who is the regional pet vet cares center ******** told me *** handled everything. Clearly no one knows how to do an investigation, because I was told no one was interviewed. The last thing I can do is warn everyone to avoid this place for emergencies. You will probably be very upset with the outcome. Some departments are great and have people who arent there for a paycheck. I know the hospital itself will never change, but the best I can do now is spread the word of their negligence of employee/pet care. I was concerned for my safety when a man came back & threatened us all. Still after that day those doors arent locked. They. Dont. Care. Also give ***** a position in HR already! She would do so much better.

      I previously worked at this facility and I will forever encourage people to go elsewhere. The lack of patient care should shut this place down immediately. Besides being very expensive (which lets be honest...that's everywhere so it is what it is) You are greeted with rude staff members up front. The have two supervisors *** and ******* who never leave their office...only to pick their lunch up when its delivered to the front desk. Its the blind leading the blind up there. MOST specialty doctors are nice. There are a few that I would pass on as they are just not nice but okay whatever. The ** is ridiculously unorganized. There has been too many patients overdosed of drugs due to lack of schooling and training. They all bow down to ************** who is new there. Meanwhile he JUST graduated from school and is also unexperienced. **************** is one of the Internal Medicine doctors there who doesn't know anything passed general practicing yet she's getting paid to be an internist. If there's anything i could spread after thankfully finding a better job opportunity... Its to trust the bad reviews you see. trust the reviews on here and other pages like yelp. Do yourself a favor and if you value your pets life...do not take them to *****. Just don't. There are too many corners that get cut and to much neglect on a daily basis.

      I have been taking my rats here for the last couple years . They both had numerous operations to remove the lumps they were getting . They were very honest about what to expect and the cost . ***************** is amazing and his staff in the exotics department. They put up with me and never complained. I would recommend this vets office to everyone.They truly do care about your animal and they dont hide anything. One of my rats Remy passed away this week and they were so comforting and they really did everything they could for me. ***************** brought ** back to another room that was secluded in the back so we could have our privacy. They were also concerned about Ratatouille as well during the loss of her sister, and didnt rush through anything.

      Do not go here! Whatever you do! They do not care about you or your pet! They only care about getting your money. They will not follow up and will not return your calls! Worst experience of my life.
