I had a horrible experience at Volkswagen of West Islip. I had a rude experience with the Salespeson ****. I have screenshots of the conversation. I went to visit and the list price of the car was $15,000. They had a VIP package, which you can not opt out. The price shot up to almost $18000. I told him im not interested. ** then messaged me this morning, asking if I wanted it. I told him the sales team had no knowledge. They did not know if this car was certified. ** then wants to get smart and send me a message " Nice try buddy" ** also sends a text statying I cant afford it. Meanwhile I came into his dealership with $70k car This is a rude salesperson. No wonder he was miserbale when i saw him, he probably has not gotten a sale for a while. I will be moving forward to make a another complaint to the General Manager.

buyer beware I wish I can give them a zero rating. They are a complete bait and switch operation at this dealership very dishonest and shady ***** that work here. I come in on black friday exactly, to sit down with **** which was very nice and helpful. I noted that I wanted the 0 down deal that volkswagen has going the offer, which was 48 month lease 0 down for 397 a month for the Volkswagen Tiguan S 2022 which has a MSRP for ****** and with delivery fee comes to ****** which ok we got a ****** car thats great. So to clarify its zero down excluding taxes and fees. So I asked how much the total fees were and I was told ******** were the taxes and that the lease fee was 699, so all together that is ********. This was all agreed upon on black friday. I said I need to get home to my family so I agreed to put 500 as deposit down for the car. I said I will come the following day to finalize this deal. So I come in Saturday, to meet with **** the finance manager. I had told **** how I wanted to structure the taxes, he said ok, then he said we will get to that soon, but first I want to go over some paperwork, he then had me sign prior documents so the legal process can start of me going in motion. Once I had got the motor lease agreement I had saw an inflated gross cap cost which going forward is negotiable, I was not able to negotiate it because I fell for the trap, good old Bait and Switch. The cap cost was inflated on the Tiguan 2022 and it went from ****** SUV to a ****** SUV. All the inflated fees onto of this my total taxes on a **** Volkswagen 2022 Tiguan S was 6, ******, I have leased cars for some time now that is completely unheard of, my wife has an X1 *** and her taxes were not that, not even close to that at ************* and again it is a **** Please read my story and experience and do no go here, they are dishonest and have no integrity. They are bunch of ****** geckos from wall street that want make the quick kill and sale. I like my volkswagen, and I will will lease another one down the road possibly, but I will never go back to west islip volkswagen ever to lease a car again !!!! Lastly I am not sure what fake ****** accounts are giving them good reviews but please check out yelp for the real 411 on this dealership !!! You will see the two similar words that I have been using "BAIT and SWITCH" Now I am paying a lease payment that I should not be paying. Resolve issue To whom it may concern,Please be advised I purchased a vehicle from listed below dealership. Volkswagen of West Islip 130 Sunrise Highway West Islip, ** ***** ***************************** One a purchased day of my vehicle I was given only one (1) copy of the key and I was told second copy will be mailed to me. Eight months later, still nothing. Ive tried calling them and every time they said they will call me back but again no one got in touch with me. Id like to raise your attention to resolving this matter, Id like to get a second copy of the key and get manager attention or someone in charge. Im exhausted with this situation. When leasing a VW Tiguan recently, the sales representative ******* had told me I would be getting the nicest version (33k) for the price of the lesser valued (29k). I then had found a price with ***** and decided to get the lease. Once getting home and rereading the lease, he had charged me almost 38k!! All while telling me I was getting the price of the 29k version of the vehicle. I am disappointed in how this business has handled this situation, and how they treated me. I was very happy getting the lesser valued vehicle, but they had decided to misuse my trust for their business. I hope no one gets scammed here ever again.Volkswagen of West Islip Response

******,Thank you for taking the time to reach back out to us. As stated in our previous conversation we did not scam or take advantage of you in anyway. Very rarely outside of signing of the contract is the final selling price of a lease discussed, general we and the consumer agree to a selling price which was the case here. This isn't because we want to hide that information, we are more than happy to provide it when asked, it's that lease customers are more focused on a payment. You were given a very aggressive price with which you negotiated over several days with our sales and management team. While I understand buying or leasing a vehicle can be an information overload, everything about your selling price, term, payment, etc... is gone over with you while you are sitting with one of our business managers for this very reason. Something that you acknowledged in our conversation prior to this but chose to leave out here was the fact you were on the phone during this part of the process. No one forced you to sign anything and we were happy to answer any questions you may have had. I once again am sorry you feel something far more nefarious took place here than actually did but that isn't the case. Every bit of information was laid out before you as is with all of our consumers. I wish you the best with your future vehicle purchases and am happy to speak to you again if you wish.Customer Response

***** and I did discuss the final price. I have a picture of the window sticker because I had told him I was going to discuss that exact number with my family. He agreed. It was also not negotiated over several days, it was done in a day. Not much information was given. I was there to sign papers for over 5 hours. Your dealership plays games. DO NOT LEASE OR PURCHASE A CAR HERE. YOU WILL NOT HAVE A GOOD EXPEREINCE.
