Took my ***************** for the very first time . ... If you like to give away your hard earned money to thieves, then by all means go ahead and get your car serviced here. Otherwise, stay away and go elsewhere for your service. At Mercedes-Benz of Wappingers Falls you will get a lot of things that will cost you a lot of money. For example, you'll receive misinformation that will cost you $$$$$, you will also receive a nice supply of lies that will cost you $$$$$, and you will certainly receive terrible, awful customer service which will cost you a nice amount of $$$$$. But you may very well not get, as I did not get, your car repaired, but it will still cost you a boatload of $$$$$ to leave with nothing repaired. So, if you're into that kinda stuff, please drop your car off at Mercedes-Benz of Wappingers Falls and watch your dollars fly away like paper airplanes in the breeze. Oh, what a wonderful feeling that is! Personally, I will be going back for service here .... never, ever again.Mercedes Benz of Wappingers Falls Response

Mercedes-Benz of Wappingers Falls has provided years of honest and transparent service as is evident with the loyal customers from the tri-state area that have been servicing with us for many, many years and continue to do so. Its unfortunate that you are experiencing the many issues with your vehicle as you are, however, your statements could not be any further from the truth. The reality is that we tried to help and consul you as best as possible. For this reason, we feel it necessary to outline the circumstances as they occurred: When your vehicle was dropped off at night for your appointment, the vehicle was scheduled for a check engine light diagnosis and for the heater fan not operating correctly. At no time did you mention an additional warning message on the dash indicating there were Zero Starts Remaining , which usually is an indication of a malfunction in the DEF system. When the service advisor wrote the repair order, he contacted you regarding the diagnostic charges that would be incurred with your vehicle. You agreed to the diagnostic charges, and we proceeded to diagnose your vehicle. It was found during the diagnoses of your vehicle that the repairs for the check engine light may be covered under an emission warranty provided by Freightliner and would need to be performed by an authorized Freightliner repair facility for the cost of the repair to be covered. Since your vehicle is a Freightliner and we are not an authorized Freightliner Dealer or Service facility, we are not permitted to perform warranty repairs on Freightliner vehicles. You were advised of this, and as a goodwill gesture we removed 1 hour of diagnostic time from the bill for which had already been authorized by you. You were also advised that since there were no starts remaining due to the malfunction with the DEF system you were given the option of either paying for a temporary reprogramming of the software, which would allow several more starts, or to have the vehicle towed to a Freightliner facility. You were provided with an estimate for the reprogramming as well an estimate to repair the heater fan. You declined the heater fan repair, however authorized the reprogramming of the DEF module for the additional starts. The final charges included 2 hours of diagnosis of which 1 hour was removed leaving only one hour of diagnosis and the reprogramming charge. These were the only two items you were charged for and were clearly explained prior to the start of any work, for which you authorized. At no time did we provide you with any misinformation, lie, or overcharge for the work performed. On the contrary we made you aware that the costly repairs that your vehicle may require may be offset by an Emissions Warranty through Freightliner. We truly empathize with your circumstance and wish you well.Submitted: 10/11/2022Review from Mi P

I brought my C300 in to get some lights fixed, get it inspected, and get the Takata airbag recall done. MB presented me with an estimate of ***** dollars for repairs that I did not come in for, and most importantly, represented those repairs as NECESSARY TO PASS INSPECTION. One of the items needed to pass inspection were the brake lines. MB claimed they are copper. BUT I JUST HAD THE ENTIRE BRAKE SYSTEM AND BRAKE LINES DONE 4 MONTHS BEFORE!!! At Arlington Auto, a reputable business that KNOWS that copper lines are illegal in NYS.The other items are ***** BUT THEY ARE NOT PART OF A NYS inspection unless they have broken or show cracks, which they are not!!! Why misrepresent them???When I called to decline these ***** repairs but to get a status update to get at least the air bags done, they claimed the lights that had been out were "done" but that they needed a part they did not have for the airbags (the number of which part they could NOT specify) and the car would have to remain there another 2-3 days.I declined and decided to pick up the car but found NO WORK HAD BEEN DONE ON IT AT ALL. The lights were still out. Even though my "service rep" claimed the work had been done. What were they thinking????I am a older female and feel this amounts to discrimination. They did not expect me to seek other opinions. When I bought the car years ago the salesperson at MB kept calling me "young lady" another indication of their attitude to older female customers.I withdrew the car and will never go back here again.Mercedes Benz of Wappingers Falls Response

We are sorry to here that your last visit did not live up to your expectations. We strive to ensure that all of our customers are 100% satisfied. The brake lines on your vehicle are shiny like copper, bend easy like copper and are turning green like copper. Our service advisor presented you a copy of the ************** Inspection failure outlining copper tubing as a reason to fail ************** Inspection. A steel brake line, which is what is required, cannot be bent by hand and is not a shiny gold color like the lines on your vehicle. The other item noted, the Axle boot was leaking and also does not pass ************** Inspection. The rear springs and sway bar links although very rusted due to age, are not required to be repaired for *** Inspection, however it is our obligation to inform you of items that *** need attention in the near future. In regard to the recalls, both the driver and passenger air bags were replaced. The second recall required a module to be replaced and was on order when you decided to remove your vehicle, preventing us from completing the recall. Again we do apologize your visit did not meet your expectations and we would welcome you to contact our service manager to discuss further. Thank you
