I scheduled a pickup to pick up my items for my move from *********** to *********, ** to take place any day in the frame of June 1-3 with ****************** Services, I paid $1745.23. After booking through them, ** referred to NY City Movers to handle the actual moving of my goods. NY City Movers calls me May 30th to tell me they HAVE to come on May 31st, gave me no other option to have my stuff picked up. The given pickup window was from 2PM-5PM, I was told they would call me when the movers were a half hour to an hour out. They show up at 1PM on May 31st with no phone call or any notice. The movers left two rolls of tape in my yard as well as filling my house with the stench of cigarettes. I paid $1600 of the $1660 left that I still owed that had to be paid in cash. On June 9th, they called to tell me my stuff would arrive on Saturday June 11th, but nobody showed. I called them and they claimed the moving truck broke down and I would have to wait until Tuesday or Wednesday of next week for my delivery (June *****). They said they would call me on the following Monday with an update on when my movers would be able to drop off my stuff but never did. On June 16th, they call me after my girlfriend left an angry message after my phone calls were no being answered during their business hours. They admitted they LIED to us and that the driver had actually quit. The person on the phone said if nobody was there to pick up the truck to deliver by June 19th, hed deliver it himself between June 20th and June 21st. June 19th comes around, no phone call. We reached out to them and then received a follow up email on June 20th claiming my stuff would now be delivered between June 25th-27th because the shipment is already in the trailer. The constant lying, poor communication, and irresponsible management is enough to warrant a full refund. They are clearly neglecting my order since I paid 97% of the balance off already and thats completely unfair.Business response

We are the preferred carrier for Trinity ****************************************** move was assigned to our company. The move was scheduled between June 1st and June 3rd, these days may be subject to change. We contacted the customer and asked if he could attend the move on Tuesday, May 31 instead of Wednesday, June 1. The girlfriend/wife answered our call and let us know that the date was much better instead of Wednesday June 1st. The estimated pick up time was between 1pm and 5pm we arrived on time, the driver called 30 minutes before the arrival, but they did not answer the call. The first available delivery date was June 5th. From the first available delivery date as a moving company by law we had between 5 to 10 business days and up to 30 business days to deliver his shipment, which we did not exceed the time limit , our routes are not like *** or ****** Our routes are created based on the shipments we have in line. Uncontrollable things can happen during transit in the moving industry. We tried to fix it or find a solution and we did that,that is the reason why an unforced delivery was not necessary.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:The business has not only failed to acknowledge the mess they left in my house and their lying about the location of my goods, but has completely fabricated a story about my girlfriend picking up the phone during pickup. They never had my girlfriends number at this point, and no, this was not a better time for my stuff to be picked up. Additionally, they told me the pickup time would be between 2-5, so yes, they did come outside their time frame. At the very least, I would like a partial refund for the blatant dishonesty theyve shown about the location of my goods and mess they left at my house, not to be told about their shipping route procedures. I appreciate that they finished the delivery, but they fail to even acknowledge any wrongdoing on their part, and I would have been much more forgiving if they did.
