I dropped my car off at Curry Chevrolet on September 13th because when I would stop at a light the car would auto shutoff but not turn back on. I had to put the car in park and restart it. The car would also jerk like it was in reverse while at a complete stop at a light, when you would start to accelerate. This happened a few times and was alarming. The dealer said I had a deductible and asked if there were any other concerns with my vehicle so as to take care of it under 1 deductible. I let them know my sunroof had been closed for over a year because the awning was missing the clips to keep it together. The dealer called around the 19th and I came, paid for the services, and picked up the car. I took the car to the gas station and opened the sunroof. It would NOT close. I immediately returned to the dealership and was then informed that the sunroof needed a new motor. They kept the car again and didnt call me until the 28th of September and told me my car was wet inside, but that I could still pick it up. I asked them why my car was wet inside when it has been with the dealership for weeks, and was NOT wet when I dropped it off. The manager ******* told me it was a nice day and I can just let the car air out. He informed me that they would bring me my car the next day. On the the 29th it had torrential rains and my car was never brought to me, but ******* told me my car was on a hill and would not get wet. It shouldnt matter, as the issue was supposed to have been fixed already. On the 30th, I showed up at the dealer since no one called. I was told the part for the sunroof was back ordered. ***** was on a strike, but they were able to close the sunroof. When I got in the car, it was soaked from roof to floor! It was so wet the inside was a different color. I thought they replaced the awning and roof with dark gray. They then spent 2hours drying it out! Now the electrical system is broken and I have had the loaner since Oct. 27th with no call from them.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Curry called me Thursday but I couldnt get the car. On Friday 1/26 I picked up my car. I noticed rust on the floor runners for the seats and considerable mold or mildew on all fabric surfaces. When I went to work the next morning (Saturday), the drivers light was on but not on (dimly lit). I took video to show that it is lit up compared to the passenger side, and the difference in brightness when they are actually turned on. I called Curry, but had to bring the car on Monday, as they close early on Saturday. The tech had to remove the light panel and turn off the electricity for it. I said I think its an electrical short because of all the water damage. They wanted to check the light first. I feel I have been disregarded at every step and not listened to in regards to the many issues I have had to deal with. I believe Curry damaged my car and are trying any way they can to not take responsibility for their actions. At least two of the original service members I dealt with no longer work there. I dont trust that I am not going to have continuous random problems with it now. Curry had my car for months, didnt fix all the issues, and were re-contacted within a day. How many times do I have to get the run around (while still paying insurance and car note), before something is done?? And just fyi, my name is **** not *******. They couldnt even be bothered to get my name right!

This issue occurred 3 months after I purchased in 2016. June 202 It began to overheat and leaking fluids. The car has been back and forth to ***** curry regarding overheating issues, oil leak issues and coolant leak issues. I brought my car to ***** Curry June 2021 for a check engine light and oil leak. I was charged close to $2000 and was given my car back. We had the car inspected it passed inspection, however a few days later the engine light comes back on and i still have oil leaking. We bring it back to Curry and they repair and charge me again. July 2021 i drive the car to ******** and the belts are melted to the engine and major issues with the car resulting in me taking the car to Ourisman Chevrolet it costs me over $2500.00 to get it repaired. The engine light was still on. I drove the car directly to ***** Curry to repair the car that i felt they messed ** in the first place. I have been in contact with ***** Corporate and ***** Curry during this whole process. ***** Curry tells me that the car needs major work that corporate ***** will pay a portion to repair the car and i would need to pay close to $3000. I authorized the repair. Curry said about 4 days to repair. they had the vehicle with no loaners and no repair. I was also told that if i rented a vehicle that i would be reimbursed. I rented a vehicle Sept 29 returned the October 8th. November 12 my car had been repaired. 2 days later the car was leaking. I returned it to Curry. They returned the car. a few days later the belts were melted around engine again and towed to them. car was returned Jan 2022. Still leaking oil it has gone back 3 more times. Curry now tells me i need a new engine and that I should pay close to $9000 to repair. I want my car fixed and reimbursed for all previous repairs $8000. I would like a new engine at no cost to ************* said they would reimburse if i paid, I am out of pocket enough and still no reimbursement. No one should have to go 8 months of nonsense.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[Your Answer Here] I am sorry, I pray that it is not because i am a woman and not really understanding cars that i am getting these answers. I brought my car to ***** curry and trusted that it could be repaired correctly and in a timely manner. i attached all the invoices for the vehicle so that you can see that it is a yearly problem of the same issue. This same issue has been misdiagnosed on several occasions. In June of 2021 i brought the car in for a check engine light and an oil leak. i was charge close to $3000 and told the car was fixed. I drove the car to ******** and the same repair that i paid for is the same repair they did and charged me over $2300.00. not at any time did ***** curry offer to refund my money. the check engine light was still on. i had it brought back to curry ***** even after the repair in ********. Curry ***** said to me that i had a crack in my engine block and it would cost allot, ***** corporate would pay a portion and i was asked to pay *******+. this was July 2021. I received my car back in November 2021. the next day i still had an oil leak and the same problem from ********. Curry ***** didn't charge me this time but kept my car for a long period of time. I just googled where an engine block is located, and it says - the engine block - also known as a cylinder block - contains all the major components that make up the bottom of the end of a motor. According to ***** curry they say that they didn't work on the bottom of the engine. by their own words to me and to ***** corporate they did. In February of 2022 they finally said i needed a new engine. This is the same engine they have been working on whether top or bottom since last year July 2021. I am asking that Curry Cheverolet to stick to their policy of 1 year repair and 1 warranty and repair my car. I have paid already close to **************************************************************************** the first place. it is not my fault that the mechanics at Curry Chevrolet misdiagnosed the problem and is now expecting me to pay. If you need me to provide recorded transcripts from Chevrolet curry that they worked on the engine block which is at the bottom half of the engine, i will happily call them and have them forward it over.  I am asking Cheverolet Curry at this point to do the right thing and make me whole and repair my car. i have waited patiently for over a year. i have waited on a response since February. i am complying with my disagreement in 6 days even though i find this unfair.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

06/09/2022 you wrote "******************* needs an engine assembly the lower half of *********************** engine has failed" The most recent work done on my car by Curry Chevrolet was repair to the engine block, which i was told cost over $6,000.00. I paid some and supposedly ***** corporate authorized the job and paid the remaining balance. The engine block is the lower part of the engine. If in fact Curry Chevrolet stands by its repairs than it will repair my engine or replace it as advised.

My financial status whether I have the money or not has nothing to do with the fact that within less than a year I have paid close to 8k for repairs. of which close to 5k went to Curry Chevrolet. I have not had my car at several other repair shops. The reason why Curry Chevrolet has my car is because they are the only car repair that I was dealing with. I have a few warranties at the time on the vehicle and i only took it to Curry Chevrolet for repair, in case those warranties went into effect The only other time it was not with Curry Cheverolet was when it broke down in ******** after Curry Cheverolet said they repaired it. I called Chevrolet Corporate, and they advised me to go to the local Cheverolet. Once it was put back together, it was immediately brought back to Curry Chevrolet to repair the mess they caused in the first place. Curry Cheverolet immediately accepted the car, and Curry Chevrolet clerk said himself "if had it not been with us before we would not have taken your car." I have documentation and telephone transcripts from Cheverolet Corporate to back up everything I am stating. Curry Chevrolet worked on the engine block to stop the leaking, it didn't work now replace my engine please or give me my monies back.

Once again We here at Curry Chevrolet stand behind our repairs. What we did here has nothing to do with this customers complaints that they currently involved on their vehicle now. The said customer has had this vehicle at several other repair shops before they brought it to us. We proformed the repairs stated by the customer and we honor them with a twevle month one year warranty but the repairs that are needed now have nothing to do with what we have already preformed. We have given the customer an estimate on what it would take to repair the vehicle several times and they have stated they do not have the funds necessay to fix said vehicle. If there is anything else I could do to help please feel free to reach out to me.ll us why here...

Yesterday, as I picked up my 2013 ***** Cruze from the service department, I notified ***** and later ******* that the check engine light on the vehicle was still on. I had the Cruze towed to the dealership because of this. I paid $1,032.97 to the cashier before receiving the car. I was given two options, drive the vehicle after the alert was turned off or leave the car for more repairs. Aside from the poor communication and service that Ive received, I have lost confidence in Currys ability to fix the vehicle safely. I was told that the extended delay was due to a faulty part that Curry used while fixing the car. The check engine light is still on, the car jerks while it is idling and now makes a tonal hoot like an owl. I am writing to formally request a refund and apology. The diagnostic issue was found prior to driving the car off the lot which suggests that the car was not correctly diagnosed, not correctly repaired, or not fixed at all.

I have reviewed the history of the repair performed on **** ***** vehicle. It does not appear that the car ever returned for service after the June 2021 repair to substantiate a defective part was used. All repairs here at Curry Chevrolet come with a 12 month ****** mile warranty parts and labor. Unless Im missing something we will not be issuing any refund at this time. If anything further is needed please do not hesitate contacting my office directly.
