Unfortunately, a check of ours that was used to pay a vendor was stolen by scammers, who used information on the check to fabricate fake checks and send them out to unsuspecting people, like the complainant.  Once we found out that our account information was being fraudulently used, and fraudulent signatures were being used, we informed the bank and the account was closed.

CGI Communications had nothing to do with this other than being victimized by having our account information stolen and converted by scammers.

In other words, we were victims as well, albeit through no fault of our own.

We contacted CGI to complete a website and upon completion to host the site host utilizing SEO. We were told website design and going live date would be about 8 weeks. Contracts were signed and paid $8000 in full April 13, 2021. To this date services have not been rendered. The website design is not complete nor are they hosting a non-existent website. We have requested a full refund fOr not fulfilling their end of the contract, yet excuses as to why it is not complete continue to be made.

The company had been engaged by an entity within the City of South Bend to coordinate a city website. Local groups like us were to be contributors. Since the original contract was nullified, we requested a refund on May 27,2021.

Attempting to be reimbursed for a canceled contract.

Along with many other area businesses, this business participated in the South Bend, IN video tour book program, which the city had contracted with us to produce.  Later on, the city mayor decided not to go through with the program and "cancelled", leaving us with a lot of businesses who had sponsored the program out in the cold.  We sent a representative to the area and offered the businesses alternative products and services of greater value than those they would have received for the same money with the Tourbook.  I have received nothing in writing from this complainant requesting a refund.  After doing some research I found that this complainant called our offices and left messages and/or spoke with our receptionist requesting a refund. Now that I have officially been notified in writing by the complainant through this BBB Complaint, I will process the refund.  In the meantime, I would like to know whether the complainant was ever contacted by Mr. *****, our company representative, to discuss the issues with the City of South Bend. I will contact the complainant via email to process the refund. Thank you for the opportunity to respond.  Frank B****
