In September or October of 2022, Matt C******** from Community Showcase Banners (CSB) reached out to my business about an opportunity to have banners put up on various light poles around Oxford with our business name on them. The locations that were options were in busy intersections & on busy roadways. I identified 2 locations that I wanted to have banners installed. I paid $1695 to CSB on 10/13/22 for 2 banners. These banners were slated to be installed around the first of 2023 & be active for an entire year. The first of the year came & CSB started installing the banners. They were notified that the locations violated ALDOT rules so they could not proceed & to wait on further details on a path forward. April comes around & I am offered a few select locations on 3 side roads in Oxford. These are side roads so there is no where near the traffic that was with the original locations I selected. The banner locations aren't even visible driving by until directly next to the banner. I declined the offer for one of these locations & requested to have my money returned. I was told that CSB had spent a bunch of money & did their own advertising & they would likely not be able to give me a refund. I expressed my dissatisfaction & told them I would be contacting my bank & the BBB. Matt asked me to wait a little while so they could see what could be done for us. On May 8th, I reached out to Matt at CSB again & asked for an update & was basically told they same thing as before in that they had spent all this money & did not have my money to refund back to me. He told me to contact higher up officers of the company but that is something that he should be handling as he is the Project Manager/outside sales person. I paid for 2 banners in specific locations & those locations were no longer available after issues between the city & the DOT. I requested a refund & was told they didn't have the money & couldn't do so after they promised me a service they couldn't provide.Business response

Better Business Bureau: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I received a paper check. I am approving this resolution assuming that the check is good. Regards, **** ******
