We had booked a flight from ****** to ******* with *** as a connecting flight on Easy Jets website. We arrived at 6am on Oct 2 at the *** airport to find out our flight was cancelled with no reason given. At the airport we could not find any customer service agent and the person at the gate kept telling us nothing they can do but we can choose to book a later flight that same day. Given we both had work on Monday we had no choice but to do so as soon as possible to catch our connecting flight in ******. However ,when instructed to use the app to do the booking, it kept crashing and there is no customer service at the airport. We tried online and by calling (waited on the phone for nearly 30 mins while other people were booking), we explained this to the agent at the desk and again no help at all. She suggested we book it manually given it was going to be sold out and we had to head back to ******. We did this and booked the 11am flight (earliest available one to make our connection) and she told us to call customer service afterwards to rectify it so we are not charged.Our second flight (11am) got delayed and caused us to miss our connecting flight from ****** to *******. Spent several hours on the phone trying to figure out a solution and ultimately the agent on the phone suggested we submit a claim form. I submitted the form and explained above but it was rejected with the explanation being that the flight was delayed less than 3 hours. My complaint wasnt for the delay but rather the initial cancelled flight and we got charged for both flights when they clearly said it would be covered given it was their fault.First flight (Booking *******) - CANCELLED (Price:132.80 CHF)Second flight (Booking *******) - Delayed (Price:379.80 CHF) I am not sure why we have to pay for this second flight that we were forced to book given the initial one was cancelled. Also we were instructed to book it and call them so as to not get charged twice and now they are refusing.Customer response
