I bought a used 2010 *** **** from Crazy, Cheap cars on October 13, 2023. Within the month I noticed that the emergency brake was broken, as well as the gas mileage being poor, the engine sputtering at higher speeds and the USB port not working. The broken parking brake was particularly egregious since a working parking brake is required for NYSI. I was not able to leave my car with a mechanic until November 11, 2023 and picked it up on November 13, 2023 with everything fixed except for the USB port. Because the car was sold to me in such bad condition, I did not trust them to fix it. I have attached the repair bill totaling $1255.69. I mailed a certified letter to the manager of Crazy, Cheap Cars on November 13, 2023 detailing the issues and expecting to be reimbursed, which I have also attached. I gave them ten business days to respond, and I have heard nothing back.

Under NYS lemon law he should have brought this back to us to go over any issues and he did not. He did all of this on his own choice somewhere else and paid full retail for it. We would give him $500. towards goodwill

June 28th 2023 I took my 2018 **** ****** that I purchased 2 years ago from this dealership for a engine light that scanned cylinder 3 misfire. We were told the spark plug was stuck inside and needed to be removed. And possibly crack head .This resulted in needing a engine replacement. Replacement engine was bad when installed. Required a 2nd replacement. The car started bucking and all lights flashed when picked up took back. Told needed 3rd engine as the timing belt made the engine go. Dealership also busted my windshield replacing engines. . Many attempts to have appointment made to have dealership glass repairman fix window. Excuses made why not done. 3rd engine put in . Car still not starting correctly lounging during auto start/stop turns on and car hesitant with shifting. And slams into gear.Dealership stated needs a transmission. Excuse given from service was " between the 3 of us, someone was in a hurry doing your engine and screwed up the transmission. " . Crazy cheap cars Replaced transmission and when car done. Still lounges forward during auto start/stop turning on and car hesitant to shift and slams into gear. Told to take to ***** **** and they would pay my service deductible this was at the end of September. While waiting for appointment at ***** I called thier glass repair 9 times no return calls or answer. Had to use my insurance to replace windshield. Have asked many times for paperwork on service done only given for first engine.Treated poorly from service manager Called warranty company for claims filed on my car. They stated no claim filed from Crazy Cheap Cars for a transmission.. I did receive a paper from dealership stating transmission done but paper work doesn't provide part numbers or Warrenty information. I was without a vehicle for 5 months. Crazy cheap cars did provide a rental car for 30 days from a local garage Rental car was unsafe , engine light on.struts blown out, odor of cigarettes and dirty.

Even tho transmission  was replaced by crazy cheap cars, they sent car to ***** **** for continued  repair as that transmission  was not properly  running. The transmission   supposedly  had a 24/24 warrenty and was supposed  to be covered by crazy cheap cars not my warranty.  I have summit  the invoice  from crazy cheap cars transmission  work  stating 24/24 warranty.  I have submitted  invoice from ***** showing my warrenty used. Business response

      12/13/2023

BBB spoke to the business and the following was relayed:  We are offering $250 as goodwill for the windshield. As far as the other things go.  Our 24/24 warranty covers engines but does not cover internal repairs, such as the transmission.  The transmission repairs that she had done at **** would not be covered by our 24/24 warranty, if those repairs were eligible under our warranty, we would have extended our warranty but those repairs were not covered by our warranty.  We did the engine work here and afterwards she said that there was still a jerking issue.  We also replaced the torque converter here at no cost to her, in fact that repair was 100% out of our own pockets.  So when she said she still felt the car was jerking we sent her to ford.  We paid her deductible and **** repaired her transmission.  Also, we paid $1,700 for her to have a rental car while all of this was being done.  We apoligze that it took 3 engine replacements to repair her engine but we cannot control the engines that we get from the supplier.  The warranty states that we are legally obligated to repair in the most cost effective way.  So, we ordered the engines and installed them as they came in until we finally got a good engine from the supplier.  I believe that we have done everything that we can, and more.  To summarize, she had her engine replaced here, her torque converter replaced here and some other things at No Cost to her. She had her transmission repaired at ****, at No Cost to Her. She had a rental provided to her at No Cost to her. We are extending a goodwill gesture of $250 for the windshield that needed to be replaced. And also, we are extending ourselves for any future issues that may arise.  Please tell her to bring the car into us if anything comes up in the future and we will work with her to get repairs done.  Her extended warranty is good through 2/22/2025.  And the work that she had done at **** is covered under ****** 24/24 warranty.   Our final offer is $250 as goodwill for the windshield and we will of course work with her if anything arises in the future.  Thank you.

I purchased a 2015 ******** ******** from crazy cheap cars on 6/28/23 for my rental car business called ****** **** *** ******** Upon test driving the vehicle I noticed the radio touchscreen did not work, the dealership put in writing that they would repair/replace the screen. Since I’ve left the dealership they sent me the wrong part, also the salesman I was working with Brian has blocked my number. And today is 7/30/23 and I have still yet to receive my replacement yet. I have called the dealership multiple times and I’ve been getting the run around every time I call. I can’t use the vehicle for its intended purpose for my business until this matter is resolved and I’m making payments on a vehicle I can’t use. At this point I would like to go to the ******** dealership that’s local to me and have them fix my issue and for crazy cheap cars to pay for the repairs or a complete refund of this vehicle this entire process has been a nightmare.

I bought a 2015 ***** **** from crazy cheap cars in August of 2022 the check engine light came on a week later for the catalytic converter. I paid 14,300 dollars for this car. They put on a cheap sub par part that failed six months and 10 trips to the shop later and it's still not fixed. They sent me to another dealer to fix it cause their service team couldn't get it fixed. The more reputable dealer they sent me to told me the part was a cheap after market piece of junk. Crazy cheap cars now refuses to properly fix the vehicle because the more reputable dealer wants to put the right catalytic converter on my car. Crazy cheap cars tried to take the cheap way out!!! They have terrible reviews everywhere I look. I should have done more research on them. Please help me?

Customer brought in 2 months after purchase with po420 codes , He took the vehicle to another shop before bringing it us and the factory converter removed and a after market converter installed. This was done before giving us a chance to look at the vehicle. We then had the converter he purchased and had installed else where warrantied through the the parts supplier he bought it ( auto zone Batavia NY ) from and installed it at no cost to him in good faith . A month later codes returned so we sent him to local ********* dealer for a diagnosis where we where told the front pipe was leaking. Crazy cheap cars the paid for that repair again at no cost to customer. A month later codes returned so we sent him back to the dealer who diagnosed the issue last time now we are being told it needs a factory converter. The customer is the one who removed the factory equipped converter not the dealership. we have gone above and beyond any obligations as far as New York state lemon law has no coverage for exhaust systems and no coverage on vehicles over 100k and this was purchased at 112,618. customer was offered a extended warranty to prevent these types of situations which he declined upon purchase of the vehicle.

Bought a **** ******** on Oct 21st 2022 on 11/22/22 took it into my regular shop because my tires were losing air .. my shop informed me that all tires need to be replace because they should not have passed inspection tires were ordered I reached out to the salesman via text to let him know the situation after several messages I finally was contacted by the general manager who asked for the receipts .. I sent them all .. when my tires were being installed the shop took 2.5 hours to get the lug nuts freed (ended up having to replace 9 lug nuts ) but my ny state inspection summary says crazy cheap cars had removed all 4 wheels during the inspection process something does add up and a month after purchasing a & 19672.48 vehicle from crazy cheap cars they are no longer answering my calls text or emails and I had to pay $787.11 for tires and lug nuts

      Business response

      01/03/2023

We told her to bring the vehicle here to see that the tires were needing to be replaced. She never brought it here for us to see and she got new tires put on herself. We were unable to verify this and if she would have brought it to us to check them and if we had to replace them our cost in doing this was several hundred dollars less to do it. We stand behind the vehicles we sell however they have to be brought to us to verify it. She chose not to do this. We never got a receipt for any of this that she has stated. In closing we would give her $350. as goodwill towards the tires upon receiving a receipt.

we are sorry we do not agree with her statements at all....with that being said $350 towards the tires is what we will do....the lug nuts were fine when the vehicle was purchased.

I bought a car from Crazy Cheap in March, I had the car for 8 months and I did regular maintenance on it. One day it broke down in the intersection, and would not start. I called Crazy cheap and they told me to bring it in because they had a ******** certified mechanic. I dropped it off November 3rd and after about a week I called them and asked for an update, they transferred my phone call to service and no one answered so I left a message. Never got a call back, and this went on for multiple days. I finally talked to someone and they told me that my car was being worked on and I could pick it up Friday. I called on Friday and they said that the parts have not come in yet. I called a week later and I received the same answer but it took multiple phone calls to get ahold of someone. After a month of them having my car and not returning my phone calls they told me they could not fix my car. I then asked if there was anything I could do, like a trade in or just give the car back. I’m a single mother and I need a car to get to and from work to provide for my child. Brian told me that he would figure something out and give me a call back. Again I never received a call back. I called the next day and asked if I could come get my car and they said service was not in so they’d leave a message and give me a call back. It’s been 3 days and I still have not heard from them.

This customer is out of NYS warranty since purchasing the vehicle. We still have tried to help her with not charging her for parts and labor on a wiring harness etc. to help her out. She also has an extended warranty when she purchased the vehicle however she has put on over 30000 miles which her extended warranty was for 18 months or 18000 miles whichever comes first so she would have to pay for service repairs and is unable to do so. She needs to come and pick up her vehicle.

There is no such thing as recapped tires on passenger vehicles and trucks. This customer bought the vehicle in March 2022 and never brought any of this to our attention when he took the vehicle and signed everything after looking at and driving the truck first. He also had to pay his sales tax to register it in his state and did NOT have the funds to do so which happens to be around $3000!!! We feel we did everything with this deal and the truck left here in Excellent condition. The truck only had 44,000 miles on it so it was like new.

The customer wants $3000 when the tires only cost $1200 which he didn't mention in the first conversation. Our price on that truck was why he drove so far to get it because it was such a lower price by 3-5000 than any dealers around this area and probably his area. Our dealer cost on tires that are that size would be $850. Out of only trying for customer satisfaction with a customer that is Not being truthful we would send this to him if agreeable. There is no negotiation on this.

April 20 22 Purchased a vehicle and at that time there were several issues that needed to be corrected. They indicated that the window was repaired, but it continued leaking and we had to have it fixed by someone outside the business; there was a hole in the front windshield and they, again, indicated it was fixed but it appears to still be there;the mirror on the passenger side was broken and did not work, the salesperson and the person in their service department indicated that they had a new one ordered and that when it came in it would be painted and they would put it on the truck. As of this date 5/19/22 we have not received the mirror, but have received many excuses why it is not completed and ready to put on. We offered to take the mirror to someone in our village and have it taken care of but they did not want to do that. The bumper also was painted, but they damaged it after completion of the paint job and did not put the rubber back down the way it should be. We paid them the price they wanted for the truck, but what we didn't do was have all the work completed before accepting delivery of the vehicle,

Better Business Bureau: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Regards, ******** ********* The business does not follow through with what they indicate they can do. We purchased the vehicle on 4/20/22 and we took it in for somethings to be fixed on the 22nd and on 4/25 we called to find out status and were advise that nothing had been done yet, with an excuse why, on the 28th we had the truck returned to us and the problem still existed so we took it to a local collision shop and they fixed it, then we were told that the mirror had been received but had to be painted and we accepted that until we called when they told us to, and it wasn't done and hadnt been started yet.  It was alreay May 10th.  They indicated that they hadn't been able to get it painted yet and they were working on it.   The next excuse was that it had bubbled, had to be stripped and painted again.  This was already on 5/18.  The service dept. mgr who had been had vacation finally called and stated that it was ready and we decided to pick it up and have it installed ourselves.  Well we hae had to call on Monday because it is still missing clips for installation and we are no further than we were before other than  we have the mirror.  We will take it to our local collision shop to see if it can be used and then we will call.  None of the calls were initiated by them, but always by us.  They never returned calls which is more agitating than anything. How to bring it to a close, will be determined after it is looked at by our collision man.  One month to resolve this issue is not right or fair to a consumer

I purchased a car from the dealership on the last weekend September. September 25-26, 2021. The car is a 2014 Jeep Compass Latitude and had almost 81,000 miles on it. I had a one month/ 1,000 warranty per NYS lemon law. The car ran completely fine with out any issues until about 20th of October. The battery kept dying on me overnight. I called the dealership and let them know the issue. I could not go to the dealership until two weeks to have them check it out. I took my car to the dealership and I was told it was ready in two days. I asked what was wrong with it and the mechanic and sales person informed me that it was the the battery terminal that was loose and they tighten it. I also informed them that the radio USB port was turning on and off randomly and they told me it was after market. I also asked multiple times if the car is good to go because I really cannot travel this far again (1.5 hours each way) to get it looked at again! They angrily told me it’s fine and gave me a receipt and I left. I returned with the car and the car battery died again. I call them back and let them know I cannot travel again due to work and would like to take it to the Jeep dealership near me. I would need to get reimbursed for the work the dealership would do. I call multiple times to get confirmations about reimbursements and refunds. I got my car fixed at the Jeep dealership because I also need it! I called Crazy Cheap Cars multiple times about getting reimbursed and they would forward me to the mechanic and it kept on. I just need my reimbursement for the money I paid the dealership to have my car fixed! Please check the reviews of others on Google because they have big issues with the dealership!
