Just like other complaints, I too have had the same kind of headache. YSG was great during the sales pitch. Minor issues during the solar panel installation but still very responsive to my concerns. My panels were completely installed by Sept 2022. As per them, they submitted to D.O.B. for inspection, and now we just have to wait for a couple of months. I got in touch with YSG after waiting for 2 months. They started to ignore me. They don't pick up my calls. They don't respond to my emails. Every now and then, they would write to me saying that we are really close to a D.O.B. inspection, but they've been saying that since December 2022. When I ask them to show me paperwork they've submitted to D.O.B., they said they'll get it from their 3rd party electrician. A month later, still nothing; now their excuse is my application has other other clients' info, and giving me anything would violate their privacy. That's ****! I called D.O.B. myself and they said there is no inspection request. I'm starting with BBB but I'll also contact my local consumer advocates, AG office, government officials, and politicians.Review from AKM A

YSG installed my rooftop Solar 8 months ago in the 1st week of November 2021, but not hooked up to the *** ** grid yet. For about 8 months we have been waiting and no update/ and no response to my emails and phone calls the last several months. Very unfortunate. Installation was prompt; *** and ******* were very cooperative and always available. I contacted ********* about our project (case # . The caseworker ****************** was very nice; said YSG did not sign off yet. I am really worried I was scammed by YSG? Also worried they changed the name of the company to ***** Solar. Are they planning to dump YSG Customers? So many complaints against them on BBB. I am really worried if I do not get a satisfactory explanation why my solar project #********* for Service Address ****************************************************************. *** ****** wrote"Hi *********************,The final documents have been pending for a few months now. Please submit as soon as possible, and provide the current status of the project". Unfortunately, I haven't received any answer yet. since this correspondence several weeks ago.

Your property is within the ************* jurisdiction and we must wait for the *** electrical inspectors to visit your home before signing off on the project. The paperwork that ********** requires is the evidence that the electrical inspection has been completed. We understand that they are now scheduled to come to your home. *** can be a very hard place to do construction but your solar panels will generate power for years come and we hope that we can support you for years to come.Thank youReview from Frank L

Omg.. where do I start.. the initial stages were amazing..product work like it should.. then the problems start.. the installation was Nov 2016.. everything was great.. except my tax abatement was not fulfilled until a few weeks ago..February2022....5 years later.. countless emails phone calls excuses different people to deal with.. YSG changes staff like a brothel.. horrible customer service.. gave up after 4.5 yrs... but a few weeks ago supposedly papers went through for tax abatement.. with my luck simultaneously the solar shut down.. 2.5 weeks into inquiry on problem.. nothing but excuses on getting a tech on site.. stay tuned .. this is just the review.. horrible..stay far for away.YSG Solar Response

Hi *****,You solar panels have a 5 year labor warranty. We advised you that you would have a charge for us to come out and service your equipment as you only paid for a 5 year warranty. We understand that it took longer for *** to close out your abatement and we are working with *** to expedite this process.
