Ive rented through Blueground before and thought I could trust their platform again, but this recent experience has been nothing short of exhausting and deeply disappointing. I reached out immediately about a listing with a clear price. While I was actively communicating with their team, the price increased dramatically. Instead of honoring the price I saw, or offering any goodwill discount I was told they follow a dynamic pricing model similar to airline fares, and that little human touch is part of their policy. They admit their process is robotic and cold, and it truly is. Emails are automated. Phones go unanswered. Support staff copy and paste replies. No one takes ownership or responsibility for guest care.I asked for a two-bedroom for one month in the ******** area, and was met with links to higher prices, no resolution, no empathy, and no help even after spending thousands with them before.Blueground is one of the worst rental companies Ive ever dealt with. They treat housing like an airline seat: once the price goes up, too bad for you even if you were already in conversation about it. There is no loyalty, no care, and no human service. If you value customer service, consistency, and being treated like a person I strongly recommend you look elsewhere.

Horrible,Horrible,Horrible...The places are fine but to their employees they are horrible. It has taken this company ****** to pay me for a orientation trial clean i did for them. Not an email no nothing the last i spoke to a gentleman he said he was gonna get me set up with the job and he refuses to answer my emails. They need to step it up if they want to keep workers.

This business doesn't appear to want to survive. The apartment is fine, but this is due to the host (a brand new, high-end apartment building with great management) and not to be credited to Blueground. BG advertises that extensions and services can be scheduled "easily through their app!", but in reality all self-service functions are disabled once you book, and you are forced to do everything through the customer service phone line during business hours, meaning you leave a voicemail/email and maybe get a response three business days later. From what I can tell, this company does not want to make money, and has little to no care whether they make a sale or if they maintain their slimming customer base. I must unfortunately use this company for work, otherwise I would avoid. I am in LA on a project basis, meaning I must extend with flexibility on a monthly basis. The room I am in (and every other BG apartment available in the area) has 0 demand, 0 reservations, etc for the next calendar year. I am the only one that has ever rented this apartment. Despite this, and despite staying already for a month an a half, BG is now charging me a "seasonal/surge" rate to extend, which is nearly FOUR TIMES my original monthly cost. They stand firm that I can 1) extend at an outrageous price, 2) leave, or 3) book a new, smaller apt which would incur their outrageous "one time" fees that extending an existing reservation aimed to avoid. They have no motivation to maintain existing reservations or their sole customer, even at the cost of the apartment instead sitting empty all year. The monthly rate they are asking to extend my tiny apt in ************** is higher than the nightly rate at the ***************************, and they refuse to negotiate to honor my existing lease price.Expect no customer service, to the point that you feel inconvenient for offering them business. You are either locked in a long reservation, or extorted month to month. I would advise neither.

Reserved an apartment in ******* and paid over $7000, only to find out 9 days before the move that Blueground never confirmed the reservation with the local landlord who actually had the property and that there was no booking at all.

Blueground has our house in a college town as a rental. It is our personal property. They have posted on Zillow fake pictures and our address. DO NOT TRUST THEM! Scammers for sure.

I rented a one-bedroom unit from Blueground for three months (DecFeb), but the apartment was inhabitable due to serious issues. They eventually moved me to a smaller, less expensive studio but never refunded me the difference in cost. I tried multiple times to extend my stay into March and received no response, so I moved out on February 28.After leaving, I contacted Blueground to request my deposit and the difference I had overpaid. They sent me an email confirming the exact refund amount and stated I would be receiving it. It has now been 75 days since I moved out, and despite countless emails and calls, all Ive been told is that its being worked on.*** never experienced such poor customer service or disorganization from a housing company. I would strongly discourage anyone from using Blueground based on this experience.

I am continuously being charged for a subscription ($50 a month) that I did not sign up for. I had them reverse a transaction last month, and they continue to charge me.

This review pertains to booking code BOS-***** for a stay at **********************************************************************, from January 8th to February 7th, 2025. Our experience was horrible, and I am awaiting a formally requested partial refund of $1,200 for two weeks due to false advertising, unaddressed safety concerns, and an unacceptable rental experience.Multiple Critical Issues:1.Locked Out on Move-In Day:Our ButterflyMX key fob did not work, leaving us stranded outside in freezing temperatures. Despite Bluegrounds claim of "24/7 support," we received no help and had to tailgate into the ******************* Concern - Broken Door Handle:The front door handle was falling off as if someone had attempted to break in (see video). We reported this immediately, yet it was not repaired until January 15thseven days later.3.False Advertising - No King *** as Promised:The listing advertised a king bed (70.8 inches), but the apartment had only a double bed (55 inches). This was a major issue as I have a medical condition and share the bed with my service dog and my girlfriend. Despite repeated complaints, it took 13 days (January 21st) for the correct bed to be providedcoincidentally, only after I cited that misrepresentation is illegal under Chapter 93A.4.Unannounced Week-Long Construction (Jan 13-17):No one informed us about a week of construction during full business hours directly outside the building. We lost access to parking, and since I was working from home, my ability to work was significantly impacted (see video).5.Unsafe, Cheap, and Broken Furniture:The dining chairs were mismatched and falling apart, and one broke while I was sitting in it. Despite multiple complaints, they were never replaced.6.Sanitation Issues - Cockroach in the Bathroom:A cockroach was found in the bathroom on January 25th. I reported it immediately, yet Blueground did not respond until January 31st (seven full days later)a ridiculous delay for a four-week rental.

Besides the **** le gouging their service and attitude is atrocious. Moved into a unit with many roaches. Asked them To clean under the appliances filthy with so much food. They never did.I asked again almost every month. They never did. A rep. **** me I was trying to levarage that complaint by using it multiple times. I said no Im not complaining that it was dirty when I first moved in, Im complaining that its still dirty, and next month if Its not cleaned it will still be dirty. Dealt with the roaches myself. They never cleaned the place. They are charging me for pets I dont have, but even if I did have them there I have ESAs for anyway so they cant charge EITHER WAY.Tell me things In writing and then when I show them prior emails they say he probably meant to say something else.Worst part was I did not move in for a month because it was so filthy, I was still charged that month, had to rent a hotel. They are terrible.

I had a terrible experience with Blueground’s customer service. When I needed to adjust my dates, I called the office and was put on hold indefinitely—no one ever answered. I tried the “call back” option, but no one called me back. When I emailed the customer sales team, they gave me no options to resolve the issue and simply pushed me to cancel, insisting I pay the penalty fee. I didn’t want to cancel, but they offered no alternative. The lack of responsiveness and flexibility was incredibly frustrating. This company does not prioritize its customers.
