      DON'T USE THEM and DON'T TRUST ANY OF POSITIVE REVIEWS ON HERE. When they come to get your stuff, the drives will tell you to put a positive review or they will not get their bonus from the company. They will also tell you one price about getting your stuff back but when you are ready to get your stuff back they will give you a different price PLUS all the hidden fees. PLEASE LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE. I promise you one day they will end up on *** MARKET PLACE. Just rent a truck, hire people from ********** and get your own storage locker. It will be cheaper. Don't support this DIRTY COMPANY......They are now owned by *******

      I am appalled by the business practices of MakeSpace post-sale. I was so excited by their service when I originally contracted with them in July 2020 in ************* after much research - so much so that I helped my parents to use then once they were available in ********** but at every pass I have seem what a horrible company they are once they have your money and your belongings As I am now preparing to remove my items from their storage unit, they have been acquired by ******* and they are once AGAIN not honoring their ***. I had spoken to ***** from MakeSpace support more than once throughout 2020 & 2021, given the address where my items were being stored (*** ***************** ************* ** *****) and told that MakeSpace allowed me to drive directly to the unit and remove my items for $49.I am now being told by ******* they will not honor the *** of MakeSpace and my only option is to pay for a full delivery of my items to a public park (as I no longer live in the area) to then have them offload my items in to my moving truck. This will be a $149 charge + $79/hour per mover (they require 2) so I will have to pay over $300 to simply gain access to my items.Furthermore, I have no desire to have my items put in a truck and moved twice. As evidenced by every single review of MakeSpace. They do not take care when moving items and I do not want my items damaged by having to be moved twice. ******* lies and states that rentable trucks will not reach the bays at **************** location. When pressed, the rep finally admitted that my items are in the same place. Obviously the docking bays at that location haven't changed just because this sham company changed hands.I never setup a ******* account and never accepted their *** and now I'm told the only way to schedule the gathering my items is to do so. This is them holding my items HOSTAGE All I want is to bring a moving truck to the unit, take my items and never deal with MakeSpace or ******* ever again.

      Why did I not check this site before I booked this company.Issues:1. False advertising because they only post all stars on their website. If it's to good to be true, it probably is.2.A *************** that breaks your items, not a crack or a minor infraction. But demolished bed frames and mirrors. Items returned in boxes that were not mine.3. Pennies on the dollar in compensation.Why are they still in business?Mover beware!

      They made me pay for a space that I initially believed was only for my items only to find out they store everybodys stuff together and I only found out when they cannot deliver the 5x7 rug I love. They lost such big item in their own storage and still unable to track for almost 3 months now.

      yes my father passed seen website thought would be convient process being that really havent had time to grieve his items been in this storage since may now when everything is paid deliver date set i owe them 599 bucks plus 215 for items i feel like repaying for items in storage also hve broken items they say couldnt bes tored but there were pictures of items before they took to storage that there not willing to remburse for but was told they woul deduct a fee offer discount which i have yet to see but made a complaint with BBB as well as cntacting the courts about his assets which still has to be divided i pray you guys dont become a victim as others as well as myself. thanks for reading bless day

All appointments booked on or after September 23rd are subject to our new pricing, which we did offer, and unfortunately wasn't able to be booked due to your unpaid invoice.       MakeSpace Review MakeSpace sells themselves as a convenient alternative to traditional temporary storage. In fact, the opposite is true. What you will find is a company that is eager to collect your items but uninterested (or incapable) of delivering those items to you or even allowing you to pick them up.I contacted MakeSpace about storing 30 or so items for a move. I specified a specific date upon which I needed to have the items redelivered. I was assured that this was no problem but also told that I should wait until closer to the date to make the redelivery request. Apparently setting the date up earlier would affect my pricing. I dont know. I didnt quite get it, but I did as I was told.I should note that I tried to set this initial appointment up online. However, I had multiple sales people from MakeSpace call me, even after I had booked my appointment. They had competing offers and advice and it wasnt until I told one of them that I would cancel my appointment that the calls stopped! The delivery people who retrieved my items were very good. No complaints there. I also altered my pick-up date and was accommodated. That was nice.However, when it came time to schedule the return of my items, I found that there was no availability for the next four weeks! While there was a warning on the website about delays after you clicked through a bit, there was no attempt to inform current clients of this delay. I was relying on the no problem and wait to do it advice that I received earlier only to find that the date I TOLD THEM WAS ESSENTIAL was not a possibility! I called and emailed only to be told over and over that they simply could not produce my items. At that point I decided to hire another company to pick up my items, but (and this is important) MakeSpace WILL NOT RELEASE MY ITEMS TO BE PICKED UP! They pack your items on pallets that can only be retrieved by special equipment. So not only will MakeSpace not deliver my items, they cant even take them off the shelf when I need them.It is ludicrous that a storage companys response to I need my stuff is when we get around to it.To summarize, MakeSpace has all of my stuff and cannot give any of it back without four weeks notice. I have scheduled a future date (which doesnt work for me) and I am in the process of finding someone to wait around for the delivery on that date. So much for convenience.I regret using MakeSpace and I urge you to find a company that can not only take your items, but return them as well.

      HORRIBLE!!!!! Many goods significantly damaged and not a bit of concern from employees- I literally waited TWO hours AFTER the 3 hour window I was given wasting a significant portion of my business day. 5 Hard shell bins were severely damaged and although I wrapped with bubble wrap, towels and blankets in some instances-a lot of glassware was broken. The company promised to be a good custodian of our items - but given the shocking condition of our bins which were also shrink wrapped- it's clear that the lack of care was considerable! I would NEVER trust them again- when I asked for my items to be delivered they delayed by a week and then charged me for the extra storage time

      I just got a notification that they were increasing the delivery cost by over 10x. This is despite the website saying that existing customers had locked up pricing when I signed up - seems like fraud. Stay away

I'm happy to provide a few more details.Instead of a flat fee, appointment pricing will be determined by the total cubic footage of items being picked up and/or delivered. Large moves can require multiple teams and even multiple days, so it makes more sense to set rates based on the effort required.Our smallest appointments will remain at the current rate of $59, while the pricing for larger appointments will gradually increase as the cubic footage increasessimilar to our current storage plans. We will be honoring our old pricing until 9/22. All appointments booked on or after September 23rd will be subject to our new pricing.       This company was consistently disappointing throughout our usage of their services. Our first experience, like many others, began by moving out of our apartment where the movers could not find a parking space and decided to leave instead of wait for a space to open up. So as we were leaving the country, we had to have friends take our place and return two weeks later once we could finally re-schedule with the movers. During this move there were countless items they refused to take as they claimed it wasn't a part of our inventory list. The storage we used cost $279/mo.. After a year of hefty payments, we needed to get our furniture back as we were moving into a new place. The MakeSpace delivery driver's showed up 4 hours late (we booked a loading dock for 4 hours, which was no longer available by the time they showed up). Upon inspection of our items once moved back into our apartment, we noticed a large gauge taken out of our wood desk, and screws ripped out of their sockets (I imagine from 12 months of stress/strain from their poor packing), our mattress had dirty footprints on it from the movers, legs missing from our couch so we can't completely assemble it, and multiple pieces of broken dishware. The movers told us to file a claim and we would hear a response within two weeks. After two weeks passed, the response to our claim was that we would "receive a response in 4 weeks". Completely unacceptable. The most frustrating part of it all is that they are impossibly hard to get a hold of, rarely speaking to the same person twice. I wish I read these reviews before using their services, as their failure of simple storage services was so great I would have used ANY alternative to MakeSpace.

      I've experienced so many issues I'm not even sure where to start. The ****** crew was sweet as can be, but they were slow and did not pack my items in an efficient way. I ended up being charged for a 300 sq ft space because my items took up 208 sq ft. The pricing scale is ridiculous because everyone's items get stored in one big warehouse anyway. So instead of being charged the original $79/month I was quoted (I understand a quote isn't guaranteed) , I was charged $145/month for my items and was locked into the 3 month minimum requirement for storage. Since receiving my items from storage, Make Space has continued to charge me $145 a month. I have called several times and have wasted hours on the phone navigating the customer representatives through the issue. I literally told one woman 4 items the date of the invoice I was referring to and everytime she would state a completely different date because she was using their system incorrectly. At this point I'm so tired of calling to get them to stop charging me and I am so tired of their incompetent customer service agents.
