I ordered from SOL de Janeiro and when I received my package the box had been tampered with and my products were stolen I never got the order as everything was taken out of my package and I was left with empty boxes and package wrapping I have contacted the business twice now and filed a police report and contacted the shipping company and everything as well and I have no been responded toInitial Complaint

I cancelled an order immediately after making it by mistake. No response from them for days. Finally they sent me a message saying he would attempt to cancel but they never did still charged me and it's been a week and they haven't sent the items or reimburse me my money or cancel the order. To Whom It May Concern,I am submitting this complaint against Sol de Janeiro regarding a recent issue I experienced with their return and refund process, which I believe constitutes unethical business conduct and possibly consumer fraud.On May 23rd, I placed an order with Sol de Janeiro through their official website. After receiving the products, I chose to return the items in accordance with their stated return policy. The returned package was delivered and received by Sol de Janeiro on June 12th, confirmed by ********************** USPS.After my return was received, I was contacted by Sol de Janeiro and informed that my refund would not be processed due to what they claimed were "fraudulent returns." No additional explanation or evidence was provided to clarify this allegation. To date, I have not been refunded, and Sol de Janeiro is now in possession of both the returned products and the money I paid for them.I firmly deny any fraudulent behavior on my part. I followed their return instructions precisely and in good faith. On April 15, 2025 I placed an order with this company the order number has been provided. today April 21, 2025. I received my delivery with three items missing. the first item that is missing is the bomb Dia bright cream 240ml. The second item that is missing was promised to me for free if I placed an order with them amounting to $50 or over, that item as advertised on their website at the time was rio radiance body spray 240ml. The third item missing was also promised to me for free as a birthday gift if I placed the order during my birth month, which is April the same month my order was placed, that item is Cheirosa ****************** the mini sized. I am requesting they either send me my three items that are missing as it is very deceitful to get a customer to place an order with you under such a deceptive practice! I contacted, SOL DE JANEIRO, via e-mail: ****************************** to inform them of their products being, WATERED DOWN. The company asked me to send them pictures and, I did. I got nothing for the replacement of the products, except an email response for a, SURVEY? I wanted my money back from the company. I got nothing!!! My order number is: *******. On August 3rd, 2024, I placed an order of $493.74. I received it on August 11th but the box was completely crushed and the items were damaged and not in good condition to be gifted. This was supposed to be a wedding gift. I also suffered an allergic reaction to one of the products. I proceeded to try to initiate a return but the process was glitching and now its not letting me return 4 of the items in the order. I then proceeded to speak with a live chat representative and they assured me that my issue would be taken care of via email in 2-3 days, but its been a week now and Ive yet to receive a response or a refund.Customer Answer

On June 5th 2024 I placed an order for the amount of $207 the order was said to have been delivered on Monday June 10th. I initially checked and asked around for it but thought maybe it was marked early but still nothing I had ordered these specifically for a trip I was taking so I then went out proceeded to spend and additional $207 to have these items, when I came home and checked again and could not find it I then reached out the carrier who delivered the order delivered two orders for me to the wrong address and I have a photo confirming this and a photo off what my door looks like. I have photo proof this was not properly delivered and what youve requested me to do. Is go falsify police report so that youre able to further assist me. My mind is literally blown. For giggles, I called the local police department. I explain the situation explain to them what I had and they confirmed it would be falsifying a report. I have in numerous emails, explain this numerous times this was your response. I had also numerous times asked to be contacted by a supervisor or somebody else and that was completely ignored. It is very disheartening that this is the way you guys are handling this situation. I actually cant even wrap my mind around it. Also, I was home the entire week of the 10th the moment it said it was delivered. I went outside and it was not there. I dont have any documentation to prove that I was actually home, other than witnesses statements but that would be a bit much I feel. I believe this situation is being completely mishandled and I find it to be extremely unfair, I want some kind of solution with the company and explanation for why your requesting I make false police reports the BBB can only do so much. I will take further action if need be. Even heres your refund you can never shop with us again I am okay with that at this point because I would literally never shop with you guys ever again I just want this resolved.Customer Answer

I received my order today and the product leaked all over the inside of the box. I tried 3 times to contact them and all of them come back as undeliverable. This is my 3rd order with them and it was small but their customer service is non-existent and I won't be placing another order. I'm seeking my money back from the way I paid and won't be back as a customer. A refund or replacement would be nice then I'm done. The business has a flawed return system. I paid for my order with a prepaid gift card, and upon returning the cream due to a reaction they said they would give me a refund credit. They did not specify whether it would be refunded to the original payment method or as a gift card. They processed the return and refunded to the prepaid gift card. I told them about this, and said I do not have access to this card anymore since it was disposable and I was under the impression that I was receiving store credit. They told me that there is nothing they can do, they cannot offer a replacement, give store credit, or do anything about my order after multiple interactions. They took my money and I have no proof they issued a refund. I have no access to this refund and they have my product. They told me to call my bank there is no bank with prepaid cards and if I dont have the prepaid card how am I supposed to gather information? Very flawed & fraudulent returns.Customer Answer
