I bought a Freedom chair from the company's website for just over **** dollars. I have severe neck and back issues, and needed the best ergonomic chair I could get for my job as a programmer.First, I want to say that it is the most ergonomic and comfortable chair I've had, but it is EXTREMELY poor quality. Within a week of having it, the internal gears that raise and lower the armrests, and lock them in place, broke. The arm rests could not be raised and held in place, as gravity would send them back down again. Fine, maybe it was a bad chair, or maybe poor internal design for the arm rests. But what is inexcusable is that I have contacted them TEN TIMES over 3-4 months. They will not reply. For a product well over one thousand dollars, that is unacceptable. I am writing them bad reviews, and leaving a Better Business Bureau complaint. I am fed up. Do not give this company your money. It is borderline a scam. Borderline because you get a product. It is something worth maybe ******* dollars at most. Not ****. And they will refuse to even talk to you if you have problems, so that is where the possible scam comes into play.

I ordered a sit-stand desk from HumanScale and while the desk itself is solid, the advertised size is not. The advertised size is 30x60. What they dont tell you is that internally they expect the size to be 29x59. This of course is not communicated to customers. I see this as false advertising. I tried to file this under the misleading ads section of BBB but the site had too many redirects.For a company that serves enterprise customers, this is surprising. But my complaint doesnt stop there. What I actually received was 29x57. Almost 58. While they have offered a partial refund at my request, this complaint also exists to hold them accountable for misleading customers. Machining tolerances of a couple of 8ths of an inch is completely understandable. A couple of inches not so much.

Humanscale has really earned their current “F” rating from BBB. I was sent a defective product that I returned. Months later, Humanscale has still not refunded me. They stopped responding to my emails, and phone calls have not resulted in me being issued a refund. As of today, I have still not been refunded. Buyer beware.
