We apologize for the unwanted order and the inconvenience caused! We weren't able to locate any correspondence on our platform requesting cancellation, as replies to many of our automated messages or sending 'STOP' to block messages from reaching our team can impact how we view customer messages. In addition to the Contact Us form on our site, customers can also email ************* at ***************************** or text us at ************. It doesn't appear that all the steps were taken to successfully cancel within the account. However, for the trouble, we've accepted the dispute for one order to return the funds and issued a second refund for the two most recent orders. Refunds will finish processing in 5-10 business days, if not sooner and we've cancelled the subscription, so there will be no additional charges. I joined Hungryroot on July 1st with my first delivery on July 8th. I received an email on July 7th that there was a delay with my delivery and my food would be delivered July 9th. On July 8th I received an email with tracking details through Better Trucks. The expected delivery was the next day. On July 9th the tracking updated to show the package was at the ***** ******************* at 9:11am. The delivery stalled there. It is now July 12th and I have not received my order. On July 10th I reached out through the online chat bot which directed me to send an email to there support email. I received an automatic response at 11:24am on July 10th that my email was received and someone would get back to me within 24 hours. At 5:24 on July 11th I had not received a response so I replied asking to have my money refunded. Today is July 12th and no one has responded and no refund has been issued.Business Response

I want to cancel my subscription to hungry root meal delivery and cannot get a hold of a human no matter what route I take and their reset password link doesn't work to get into my account.Business Response

We're so sorry for the trouble experienced here. We're currently working through a delay in outreach, but are responding to all customers as quickly as we can.
We've taken care of resetting the customer's password, and have shared the password reset issue with our Engineering team to look into and fix. As requested, I've cancelled the customer's subscription as well. They still have a box scheduled to be delivered on Monday, June 9th.

Tried to cancel subscription and its difficult to get to icon for account settings and following descriptions of what to do for canceling it gives you a chat text line. And no number to talk to someone to cancel. I tried to cancel after first order. I changed my credit card and they used my new card info to charge and they sent me a second order when I canceled subscription after the first order came please help me.Business Response

We apologize for the poor experience on our site and the unexpected order! We don't have the capacity for phone support, but our ************* team is available via email and text during business hours, seven days a week. Looking at the account activity, unfortunately, the steps to cancel the subscription weren't completed successfully on the customer's end. We don't have a record of any text or emails coming through on our platform, but we received a cancellation request from an order rating text. A member of our ************* team replied via email and cancelled the subscription as requested on 5/27. However, the second order was already finalized on 5/22. Depending on your default delivery day, orders are finalized at 7pm ET (4pm PT) the Monday or Thursday before your upcoming delivery, and the order was processed and shipped because the subscription wasn't cancelled prior to cut-off. That being said, for the trouble, we've fully refunded the second order as a courtesy today. Refunds can take 5-10 business days from the date of issue to finish processing, and we recommend checking in with the bank or credit issuer to verify receipt. May 20th. Two days prior May 18th deadline I realized did not need and wanted to reduce how much I het weekly. Edited, skipped orders. I was still charged despite this. Looking at the account activity, while we see the order was viewed, unfortunately, any edits or skips weren't successful and the box finalized and shipped as usual. An agent was able to confirm this, and as the order information was already sent to our facility, the shipment couldn't be cancelled at that time. An agent added a partial credit for the poor experience, but for all the trouble, we've issued a full refund as a courtesy to the card on file and shared your experience with our User Experience team. Two orders in a row have not been delivered to my house. The last order was eventually cancelled and I was given $50 gift card to keep my business and allow me to re-order. Today, 5/25/2025, the re-order was supposed to arrive. It hasnt been delivered and ******* (delivery company) said they never received the box and the tracking number Hungry Root provided *************** was not a valid number. I cannot reach a manager to speak to only received an email reply from Hungry Root saying all their orders went out last week and its the delivery companys issue. Im tired of the run around and never getting my orders. This is food that will spoil if not delivered immediately.Business Response

We truly apologize for this experience! Our ************* team responded to the initial email and text message sent on 5/11 regarding shipping and delivery status, but they weren't immediately aware of the Food Poisoning as that complaint came through on social media as opposed to directly through our support platform like the prior outreach. Once we were made aware, a ************* agent reached out on 5/12 via email to gather more information on the meal that caused the illness and to fully refund the order. We take reports of illness seriously, and any incidents are immediately reported to our operations team and the appropriate vendors. My food order was delivered with two packages of sauce completely destroyed, which soiled all of the items, in addition to the two destroyed items being unusable.
