1 starMy grocery order arrives late by a day or more. IF it arrives at all. You can not speak to a person for help. I had a computer tell me it understood my frustration. You get store credits. Not refunds. Products arrive damaged. If they arrive at all. They admitted to me they remove negative reviews on their fb page. You have to email them for customer service, and maybe they will get back to you. But not for several days. They assure you that delivery issues are not the ********* its all Ive known with them. When they finally respond to your email the first thing they do is ask you, in an email, to email them your email address so they can email you back to help you. Read it again. Slowly. If you like being gaslit by a service that is supposed to make your life easier, and arguing with a computer, not being able to rely on the service they say they can provide, then please, enjoy. Otherwise. Dont waste your time. Energy. Or money.Hungryroot, Inc.

We truly apologize for falling short regarding our virtual assistant, wait time, and shipping issues. While we report every incident brought to our attention, we recognize a pattern that, while not the standard for our orders, has become your standard experience. This additional feedback has been forwarded to our operations and user experience teams. Additionally, while we will credit for items that can't be enjoyed first, we can offer refunds to the card on file instead for issues like late and warm boxes, or missing or damaged items. 1 starHungry Root is one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. Extremely shady. I cancelled my box and membership well before delivery date. Even though I didnt receive a box, they charged me $138. They refused to give me a refund. REFUSED. I will NEVER seek out this company again and will continue to give them bad reviews.Hungryroot, Inc.

We truly apologize for the frustration. After completing our quiz and entering shipping and payment information, a suggested plan is shown. If a customer chooses to check out at that point, the card on file is charged, and the subscription begins. New customers can cancel from the second box forward at that point, but our team assists with cancellations of the first box so we can directly refund. 1 starThe food and website are fantastic but who cares if they don't actually deliver the food. 2 times in a month I did not receive my food and customer service is non-existent - no way to reach anyone and they don't respond to the text messages. 1 starI had to pause my delivery because I am out of town. I got a text that my order was delivered today anyway. I am 150 miles away from home. My neighbors will be checking when they get home from work. I went to their site to find out what happened, and was connected to their bot. I was asked for my email address over 15 times, even though I provided it each time I was asked. I have now canceled my subscription. I am also in the process of notifying my bank to flag anymore charges from them as fraud. They are unprofessional.Hungryroot, Inc.

3 starsOK the food is good and healthy, but you never want to let them pick anything for you because its never what you want. The worst part is that customer service is not available ever theyre billing department seems to be on drugs because I have an 800 credit score and 1/4 of the time they say my card isnt going through.Hungryroot, Inc.

We truly apologize for the frustration! We were experiencing a technical issue regarding the messaging for payments, stating that some transactions didn't go through when in reality they were charged successfully. We're working to fix this error and see that recent orders were processed. Regarding food, our system creates a cart based on selections in a customer's Food Profile, including dietary preferences (gluten-free, vegan, etc.) and grocery preferences, where you can tell us to send items either often, sometimes, or never. 1 starThis business is a ****!!What legitimate company offers no customer support?I started a subscription and ordered my first meal. After this I did some more investigating and found out all the problems so I immediately went in to cancel my subscription well guess what? You cant The number listed will never connect. I talked to the online robot and sent an email as instructed but all I get is a generic response that they received my email but they never responded. I went into my order and cancelled it then got a message that that order did not ship but I also got response from my bank that I had been charged for the unshipped order. I am unable to get any response from this company. Nothing but thieves!!!Hungryroot, Inc.

While we use a virtual assistant, the message will be forwarded to a member of our team. We received your request, and an agent followed up via email to cancel the subscription and fully refund the first order. 1 starHow is this company still operating? **************** is an absolute joke. I changed my order two days before the deadline but, for whatever reason, they still sent me what they wanted to send me- a bunch of gross junk I won't eat. Money wasted, no customer service to help sort it out. I have cancelled my subscription and advise anyone who is thinking about getting one to look at another service.Hungryroot, Inc.

2 starsI gave this company several chances because I found the app to be user friendly compared to others but I was let down too many times. On several occasions items arrived damaged, split open, or smashed. Therefore, you end up not even being able to make the recipes. These products were usually the Hungry Root branded items which means there have poor packaging altogether.Hungryroot, Inc.

1 starHungry Root's core function is to get food boxes delivered to their customers. They completely fail at this function. Hungry Root partners with On **** who are unable to deliver boxes two weeks in a row. Both Hungry Root and On **** customer service are not responsive and unable to answer a simple questions: when is my package arriving, and why did it go to the wrong address? So far, I paid $160 for two boxes, and have yet to receive a box.Hungryroot, Inc.

We're sorry for the frustration caused when trying to cancel. We were able to see that several weeks in a row were skipped, but cancellation of the account wasn't completed successfully. The link to cancel subscriptions can be found in the Account Settings, and instructions can also be found in our ************ While we wish we could've cancelled the order that was processed, it was after cut-off, but we were able to assist with cancelling any future orders.
