  Sunlight Financial funded my deal without my solar system being completed, its been six months now and I only have half a system on my roof. I literally have holes in my roof that I had to personally go up on my roof and fill so rain wouldnt come in. I still have parts of my solar system sitting in my garage, and they funded the install company before they even finished the job and now that install company filed bankruptcy and wont answer any calls or emails, so now I have a $65,000 loan with sunlight that they are taking out payments monthly on for a system that isnt even fully installed and on top of that Im still paying my electric company because I cant even use the benefits of my solar system. I have contacted them every month and they keep just saying that it is with an escalation team, but they refuse to transfer me to them and they say that there is no direct line for them. They wont even let me talk to a manager at this point. Im not sure what to do. I dont know if I need to hire a legal team, but they are prompt to pull out their monthly payment every month regardless. This is very unprofessional and it has been stressful to say the least!

  RUN!!!! Do not use them. I took out a loan to replace my AC. It was who my ********** used, and they suggested them. Currently I have been trying for 24 hours to log into my account and I am not getting any help from their **************** people. Upon attempting to log in, it is now asking for an authentication code, and stated this code would be sent to my email account. This never happened. After a few tries, I finally spoke to grumpy ****, who told me that my email is no longer recognized by their company to be able to send me the code that is absolutely the only way I can obtain access to my account. Grumpy **** stated I needed to make a new email account with gmail, or yahoo. Let me be clear.... this new email I needed to set up will just be for Sunlight, as I do not have issues with any other accounts I have. That's just plain silly... and well.... won't happen. Y'all..... this place had to be a joke. I have not only paid on my account for the past 4 years, BUT, I have paid extra. Never been late. And now, my email account of 15+ years is not recognized. ******* I HAVE to leave a star but be advised that said star has a MINUS before it.

  I just found out I have a $56,000 loan with this company that I have never heard of or agreed to. It started with a company named ***********. I discussed solar panels with who turned out to be nothing more than a sales man. I'm 70 years old and computers and smart phones are not my friend. Somehow Shine Solar used my signature off a Docu-sign thing. Then took a load out from a bank I had never heard of and that bank took over a loan in my name.Last month I was able to make a stop payment on Sunlight but they took a February payment and now my monthly budget is all messed up!Can I find free legal help for senior citizens that have been scammed by companies that knowingly lead me on? The first being Shine Solar. I believe they are out of ********. Sincerely

  Sunlight quickly approved for an interest-free construction loan to build an ADU about a year ago, and they paid the loan directly to the contractor on day 1. Multitaskr, the scam/fraudulent contractor has not done any work, and it has been over a year. I filed a fraud report with Sunlight Financial, and I requested a rescind/cancel of the loan but no word from them.

  Top Tier Solar Solutions used these guys to finance our loan. I have 'nothing' good to say about Top Tier, because they did NOT give us a copy of any work order but we were "approved" without ever having to submit a work order. IF you can get through to anyone at Sunlight, you can ask, like I did, if one has to submit a work order before a contract is made. They will tell you, YES. So, why when we called to see one after we e-signed a contract with Sunlight 'only' were we approved within SECONDS????? And, when we asked to see the work order they said they were "not allowed" to give us that information. So, something WE supposedly signed is no longer available to us and Top Tier didn't have one either but were happy to, take over the 3-day law we had to cancel, to "look" for it. This company is now down to a 1.6 rating will soon disappear and reappear as a new financial company so be careful. I thought they were reputable and was going to warn them that someone there is doing something illegal, but not after seeing their rating and reading the reviews!!!!DO NOT sign anything without seeing a work order with the name of the company on it. You can still void your contract, but our salesman didn't have a "pen", paper that had the name of the company on it" not even a BINDER w/ the company name; last - not even a calling card with his full name and/or the company name. Talk about fraudulent, but before I call the police to file a report on THEM, I thought I should do more due diligence and notify all of you here. Scammers are everywhere. EVERY salesman coming to your home should have a badge. It's the **** If they forgot it, losot or their dog ate it, DON'T let them in your home. If you sign ANYTHING it better hve a work order that you can view the entire time with EVERYTHING the sales person said, on it BEFORE you sign. They will spend HOURS at your home to lull you into a false of security to rip you off.

  The only reason they get one star is because if you do not give them something you cannot give them a review.The most half assed company ever. Stay away. Their standard response to every negative review is the same. Call us. I assure you it will get you nowhere.First you can set up a one time payment,it will clear your bank immediately, then you'll get a email stating that you account is delinquent.Second you can make their payments on your loan at a fixed rate for a couple of years and not have the principal go down bout a grand? The monthly interest on a fixed rate of 10% will fluctuate anywhere from $50 to $100 in either direction?Maybe if the bbb and or some attorneys get involved questions could possibly get answered. Will see.Need a roof or solar stay away. Read the reviews and you'll see the pattern.

  This company Sunlight Financial LLC, do not know that Solar Tax credit is not a REFUND and want customer to give them 30% of a tax credit. Which this is a TAX LIABILITY. America 30% tax credit is for any taxes that you owe. If you do not apply 30% to the loan your payment goes up.

  I'm in the process of trying to sell my home. I am attempting to have buyer takeover the loan which I was initially told I could do. I have the Buyers contact Sunlight Financials to have credit run and they're told since loan is under 15k they have to payoff the full amount. This was news to me when I called to confirm I was told the same my loan is only about 200 or 300 below 15k and they won't make an exception. Also no one ever calls you back or emails you any information. No one can even tell you when a supervisor *** call you back. I've explained my situation to the care reps that this has delayed my closing and my deal *** fall through still no call back. I would never recommend this company to anyone. Also no where in my contract was mention of this 15k minimum.Buyer beware if you take a loan with this company.

  We had windows installed in our home. Sunlight Financial was the loan servicer but never sent a single loan documents or email communication for setting up an online account. There was an initial period of 0% financing. The loan amount was $26,238.00 we paid $2,000.00 per month for 12 months. We had $2,238.00 remaining on the principal as of Feb. 2024. We called to request a payoff quote and was informed to pay the monthly payment amount. We thought that was the remaining balance after the auto pay amount. $4,000.00 later, we realize we have just been paying interest at ******%! After receiving the pay off quote and paying the amount in full that day, they still had the daily interest charge of $1.30 they refused to waive. We will be filing a claim with the court for lack of transparency and communication.
