I placed an order for food online with bento box on 1/24/24 at approximately 7:30pm. I received confirmation that my order was received and that I should pick up my order at 7:54 pm. My order was for the amount of $23.03. I then received another text that my order was ready for pick up. When I arrived at the store, all the lights were out. I saw a man sitting in the adjacent seating connected to the store, and he informed me that the store has been closed indefinitely. I immediately contacted Bento Box, and they told me that they see my order, but they have nothing to do with refunds. Ill just have to wait until the store opens to contact them.Customer response

Date of transaction: 6/12/23 Amount of money paid to business: $500 Business committed to providing: website services and building a web presence.Nature of the dispute: after an initial setup call and putting together a basic splash page I was not impressed with bentoboxs offerings for the money I paid. I called 14 days after sign up saying Id like to cancel and get a refund. The customer service representative was extremely unprofessional after trying to sell me to stay, then threatened saying my initial $500 setup fee was non-refundable due to work already having been done which was a cheap re-used templatized splash page with nothing but my logo (which i provided) and coming soon. On Bentoboxs website, it clearly states in the pricing section that there would be no contracts or hidden fees. This is about as hidden as it gets. Additionally under the *** section it says that we can cancel at anytime as long as we give 30 days notice. Nowhere in the website is it stated that there would be penalty fees associated with canceling, and no sales rep ever mentioned anything about this either. I believe this is an unfair and unethical business practice to withhold my initial $500 payment and Id like to receive a full refund.Customer response
