    Scam. This event sold us tickets and knew their capacity was met by 1000s prior to selling us tickets for 1600 dollars after informing us that we had guaranteed seats.

    The customer in question purchased six "Main Room Seated Admission" tickets for a New Year's Eve party hosted at ********************* in ************. The event was scheduled from 8:00 PM to 2:00 AM, with a maximum venue capacity of 800 and approximately 700 tickets sold. These tickets included reserved seating, a full dinner buffet, open bar, live DJ, party favors, a champagne toast, and a live broadcast of the ************ Ball Drop on multiple screens within the venue.

    As per our email communication with the customer, she arrived at the venue at 7:10 PM and was temporarily denied entry. However, it is important to clarify that this was not due to the venue being over capacity, as alleged by the customer. Rather, entry was denied because the party had not yet commenced at the scheduled time of 8:00 PM. Due to inclement weather, the customer sought shelter at an alternate location, and it is unclear whether she subsequently returned to the venue or attempted entry later in the evening. Notably, the customer is the sole individual out of 700 ticketed guests to raise this issue, and there have been no other reports from attendees or staff indicating difficulty with entry. In the event of a systemic issue affecting entry, our team would have been promptly notified.

    In the spirit of goodwill and to resolve this matter amicably, Ball Drop has offered a partial refund of $394.20, which is outside our standard refund policy. This offer has been accepted by the customer, and we consider the dispute to be settled.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

    I was at the venue at 7:10pm until about 8:45pm. They did not allow any more people in the building at this time due to the max capacity according to the security working the area. Our tickets were for dinner at 8pm and we arrived early as informed to do so. We waiting for almost two hours trying to get in with 4 minor children. We bought the tickets because it was guaranteed seating, however this obviously was not guaranteed. When it started to rain around 9pm yes we ended up having to seek shelter from the rain, we had a 7,10,14,&16 year old in the rain that was already 40 degrees. What parent would not get their kids out of the freezing rain?! I bought these tickets because it would supposedly guarantee that my children would not have to be a part of that. 

    The company told me that all that they would offer me was the 30% without the taxes that were paid or they would just handle it with my credit company. The customer service ***resentative also was very ugly and informed me that I could not speak with someone on the phone. I emailed and 13 days later they finally reached out. The  customer service member said they reached out to you, you just didnt like the response you got. 

    The ball drop *** told me that they will give me 30% back when and only when I cancel the dispute with my credit company. 

    Also there are other people who have the same complaint online with similar stories. The building capacity online says 500, ball drop .com says 800. My tickets were never scanned clearly and there were other people who were unable to enter the building also.
