I canceled my auto insurance (policy, no: ************) with The Hartford in May '23. I had been making automatic payments to a credit card. The Hartford continued taking payments of $54 for **** ,July August and September. I called three times each time to be told that they were "recovering the discount given me for bunddling" ??? Then in Oct, they withdrew $71 to "reinstate " the policy which didn't zsk for.I'm 84 years old. My confusion with all of this is the my mortgage coompany , U.S. Mortgage Corporation (Loan no: **********) increased my monthly payment by $150 in june. I thought that this was related to the insurance issue (I also have Hartford for homeowners insurance. ) But the lender said it was a permanent annual update they always do. And they said that taxes were not involved. !?? At 84 years of age and having had five homes, I've never before seen this. IMPORTANTLY. I have tried and tried and tried to enter a complaint against U.S. Mortgage on this website but the form rejects the zipcod for them. In summary, I am being billed $1230 just until the end of this year and I need your help. Thank you, *******************************

I have tried to contact this person by email and phone and they do not respond. We have no one in our database with this name and address. I believe it is a different US Mortgage Corporation

Additionally, her auto insurance would have nothing to do with her mortgage payment

      This is not our customer.

      Thank you

I just had a long conversation with *******************- she was notified of a shortage in her escrow account in July 2023 So her payment went from $1041.47 to $1191.51 due to an increase in taxes. I cannot speak for her homeowners insurance as it does seem to be a little high but i cannot assist her with that.

I have attached the notifications to her- the letter and the Escrow Account disclosure statement- and she wants to withdraw the issue with US Mortgage corporation but she is still having issues with ******** Insurance, which I cannot address

As a first-time home buyer, my *********** were relying on ************************************* and the team of experts at US Mortgage Corporation to act in our best interest. However, this is not what happened during our experience while trying to purchase *************************. in **********, **.US Mortgage Corporation ordered an appraisal on a property we were trying to purchase before our deal was out of attorney review & before contracts were finalized and signed. When our deal fell through my *********** were assured we did not owe anything. A day later on August 16, 2022, we were shocked to see that $580 had been charged to our credit card for the appraisal that had been prematurely ordered. We were even further confused when US Mortgage was unwilling to remedy this issue and unable to explain how a mistake like this could have happened. As first-time home buyers, we relied on US Mortgage to act in our best interest. We wrongly assumed they would follow up on details like if our contract was signed and finalized. My *********** are disappointed in our experience and hope US Mortgage will take this opportunity to remedy this issue and work on rebuilding the trust in our relationship. US Mortgage Corporations listed address is ********************************************************. ** Mortgage contracted **************** Services located at ******************************************************* to conduct the appraisal. A contact number for **************** Services is ************. The home was appraised by ***********************************. The state certification number is 42RC00058200 & the effective date of appraisal was 8/17/2022.************************** email address is ******************** ************************** email address is ***********************************************

US Mortgage Corporation acted correctly in the processing of this file

The contract was fully executed on 8/10/22 and sent to the processor

The borrowers signed disclosures, including a credit authorization, on 8/16/22- the processor ordered the appraisal on 8/16/22. The appraisal was completed on 8/17/2022 .We also sent the borrower a conditional commitment on 8/18/2022.

The appraisal was received by USMC on 8/19 and sent to the borrower on 8/22/2022.

The borrower did not withdraw until 8/19/2022, after the appraisal was completed on the home. They received a copy of the appraisal, therefor no refund should be necessary.

We have sent the borrower an email to this effect

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

       Good morning,

I have reviewed the following response from US Mortgage Company and my complaint has NOT been resolved.

My husband & I do not refute the fact that the paperwork was signed and US Mortgage had the right to order the appraisal. We take issue with the fact that as first time homebuyers, we trusted the guidance of US Mortgage and expected them to make decisions on our behalf.

It was unethical & inappropriate for US Mortgage to order the appraisal while we were still in attorney review. We trusted that their process would include making sure all paperwork had been completed, not just **************************************** teachers, we do not receive paychecks during summer. To prematurely order our appraisal and charge our credit without communicating this information in advance created an unnecessary financial hardship for our family during an already stressful time of the year.
