My vehicle was towed to Jets after a car accident on January 29th and the towing company would not take it to our requested repair shop. This company refused to release the car to the insurance company, ****, without multiple phone calls from my partner who is also on the registration of the car. When speaking to the company, my partner made mention that they wanted the repair job themselves and were unprofessional about sending it to another shop. On 2/2, Jets purposefully submitted incorrect information to **** for the transport of the vehicle to the requested auto shop. This company is purposefully acting unethically because **** is paying a significant (they confirmed this verbally) amount to store the car there. This company is literally holding my car hostage so **** can pay more for storage.Business response

As a business that was bulk on honesty, integrity and pride over the last 38 years this complaint comes as a complete shock. We have completely reviewed this matter and it is still unclear on Ms.*******'s part if this is a misunderstanding or just intentional false accusations. It appears it is the second and as we did reach out to her and her position is "they totaled the car I'm over it" we would appreciate if this matter was looked at and all parties be held accountable for the truth of the situation. The facts on the matter are as followed.1. Ms. ******** was not drivlng or present at any time at the accident seen on 1/29/22 a Ms.******** ***** was driving the 2019 ****** and was transported from the accident to hospital before Jets arrived and we were directed by the Schodack Police Dept it was a simple accident recovery with no party on seen. Her Statement she requested Jets to tow her vehlcle anywhere and Jets refused is ABSOLUTLY FALSE.2. Our First contact was on Monday 1/31/22 with Ms. *****, and at that time we notified her the2019 ****** in question was a TOTAL LOSS. AT no time did we ask to or suggest said vehiclewas repairable, should be repaired, or we were interested in repairing it. Ms.********'s accusation Jets wanted to keep the car to repair it again just false.3. On Feb 2nd Jets was contacted by The Company hired by **** called ***** ******* **** from Tucson .AZ phone # ###-###-#### for charges and to have re towed to Ms. ********'s new location and at that point again we pointed out it was a total loss and they should make sure**** was ok with additional tows on a total loss. On 2/3/22 ***** ******* **** confirmed**** was ok and requested we email the charges and we emailed the charges at 11:55 am on2/3/22 and also a phone conversation to go over itemized detail bill and at that point ************ **** couldn't retneve the car until 2/4/22 and asked us to add a day storage and the would reprocess the bill and pick up the ****** on 2/4/22. We did what they asked and they picked up the car and transported it on the 2/4/22. Jets Storage is $70.00 per day is $15.00per day lower than most of the surrounding tow yards that are charging $85.00 per day and again not only is Ms. ********'s accusation false but damaging and I feel intentionally m1ssleading.4. It was made clear to Jets by Ms. ***** on 2/2/22 in a phone call to our Kinderhook location it was strictly a matter of timing and convenience to remove their belongings from the ****** as they were aware it was a total loss.In conclusion to us here at jets who had to manage this situation Ms. ******** wanted what she wanted when she wanted it and when it didn't happen this is the result, NEVER ONCE Ms. ********made contact with any party here at Jets but we Did make contact with her and to hear her quote"the cars totaled I'm over it" 1s wrong and not only do we feel it is unjustified it 1s also very damagmg to our reputation and we are in trusting in you to look into this matter and have Ms.******** understand to level these types of accusation because she didn't get the result she wanted reasonable or unreasonable there are right ways and wrong ways to handle the situation. I hope it is clear to you what and why she is doing this because it is to us here at Jets Truck and Auto Body. 1 will also enclose documents of phone logs and emails to show you the facts in this matter and if you need anything else we will provide them to you.Thank you for your help Jeff P******Jets Truck & Auto Body
