So i recently attempted to list my business with the real yellow pages, and stumbled across the yellow page directory. I was ignorant and did not realize this was another company. **** sold me on paying for a yearly listing with him for around $50, and to list me on hundred of directories. A month or so goes by and I call the real yellow pages and they cant find my account, because they are not affiliated with the yellow page directories, and that YPD bought their old domain 10+ years ago. I follow up with **** telling him what i discovered and he continues to say he is the real yellow pages which is untrue. He also says I can not cancel my account as I signed a 6 month contract which is also untrue. Lastly he emails me about 50 directories that he claimed to have paid for on my behalf to be listed. Out of these 50 I saw many URLS that I personally myself listed myself on, claimed and own, such as merchant circle, ********* hot frog, ********, etc. 3 weeks later they still charged my card after i requested them to stop. I emailed him again asking for a refund and to terminate my account. This company is very deceptive, and is piggy back off the real yellow pages.

This is Incorrect information and a false complaint Filed with the BBB . We will now let our legal staff proceed with taking this client to court for slander. We do not call clients to set up an account with us. We have no sales team to do such a thing.  ***** came to our website unsolicited and bought the 50 dollar ad. (We have proof of that)  I then explained (after he bought the ad)  we can upgrade his ad with extra advertising on many other websites along with banner ads. In good faith I gave him a 50 percent discount on his upgraded advertising. I paid for him to be on the other websites and that was an expense that we took on, along with all the other work. We are trademarked by the US government and showed him proof that we are "The official yellow pages".  As of this morning,  I already canceled his account but he still owes 3 more months in the six month commitment that is written all over the site. The buttons he pressed to get the extra adverting clearly stated right next to them that a 6 Month Commitment was required. Filing this complaint is a crafty method in getting out of that agreement (which I was willing to do before I read this). I will personally file a complaint with his BBB for filing a false complaint here. I have never had a complaint in 15 years because we are an honest company.  All his advertising will be marked under collections until this is resolved.

The YPD directory to my response claims I made a 6 month commitment simply because it's posted on their site. 2ndly they say that they never called me soliciting. 3rdly they're claiming slander. And will be filing a complaint against me.

In my original complaint I never said he called me and solicited. I said I stumbled across his website thinking he was "the real yellow pages", whom their website is *********************************************************

Which is false he is the yellow page directory whom website is ************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************

I reached out not knowing the difference. He told me he is the real yellow pages and still claims that due to some trademarks he filed for YPD, which doesn't mean anything. The real yellow pages manages yahoo business, yellow pages, super pages and white pages. YPD tricks clients into paying to get listed on the directories I mentioned. We pay a monthly plan and they list us on the free domains. BBB can call the real yellow pages whom domain I listed and confirm this themselves. So in face their is no slandering going on and any complaint from YPD to bbb will be unwarranted and false, and not in good faith.

2ndly I never signed a contract and unless YPD can verify an agreement then it's irrelevant if it states 6 month commitment on their website. Any lawyer will agree with this. Also I asked ypd to cancel my subscription 4 weeks ago and I'm still being charged. I just want my last month refund, and to be left alone. All my communications with YPd are via email and I can supply all correspondences upon request.

Also besides the 200 monthly charge I paid $49 for a year listing. So even if I cancel my 200 advertising plan I still get a paid listing for a year. **** has sense generated me an internal 1 star and removed my account from public. This issue was not inserted in the original claim and will warrant a 2nd complaint. Attached is proof he removed my ad and gave me a 1 star review. I pay 49 for a year and he removed my account which sends this issue into the form of a complaint for failure to supply goods/services rendered according to my lawyer.
