My window shattered a week ago (1/17/2022) in my apartment, I was told someone was going to be out within 24-48 hours to put plywood on the window (1/18/2022) while the glass was being ordered. My window is still not covered with plywood… it’s wintertime and I have a one year old. This window is at the risk of falling out at the drop of a pin… this is not the first issue I’ve had with the windows.. they will not come to fix any of the problems and just mark them as resolved. Another issue is that they put up fake memos that are backdated before an inspection, saying that trash cans are going to be on the side of the building… when quite literally they block the stairway from going up or down! Elevators are always down, and they never fix them fast. There’s 6 floors on one side of the building and 10 on the other… having to do over 15 flights of stairs to go up and down in a stairway with little to no light is next to impossible.Business response

Good morning,Her window was cracked from the outside. the inside pain was not broken and there was no wind entering the apartment. When we removed the window to have it fixed, we installed a piece of plywood to keep the elements out. The elevator is outside of our control. its a mechanical machine that breakdown every now and then. ********* elevator fixes it as fast as they can. sometime parts of our of stock. Better Business Bureau: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I have not received any credit on my rent, there wasn’t two panes on the window (the both the maintenance men told me!), I also have had renters insurance since I’ve started living at this apartment.. but when I was told since day one that it’ll be fixed I thought it would’ve been fixed. I have already been told my lease will not be renewed due to this complaint to the BBB. I was told I was a stupid liar. I’m making arrangements to move already.. I don’t want to live somewhere where I get verbally attacked! Regards, ******* ********Business response

Yes, the elevator on her side of the buildings go down every now and again and are fixed quickly. We have NEVER been issued any violations for the elevator by the city or county. I issued a credit for one side of the building were the elevator was down for 3 weeks, not her side. If she is so concerned about the $50 credit, she can deduct it from the money she owes me… bringing her new baleen due to $1,691.25. When can I expect that? You seem to be avoiding that issue.-Eran
