      We entered into a contract with Solanta to install solar panels on our home on 3/15/2020. The engineers revised it to a larger system and a new contract was signed on 4/20/2022. We had to chase after the company (specifically the owner, **************, and representative ***********************) for weeks to get any correspondence regarding our project. Ultimately, in late July we learned that they were unable to obtain the equipment for our project (specifically REC 380 AA solar panels) and there was no comparable replacement with a similar product, cost, and warranties. We were extremely frustrated with their poor communications with us during this process. Via a written email agreement with the owner **************, we cancelled our contract and we were to receive a full refund of our deposit ($9450.00). More than 2 months has passed and despite our repeated attempts to call and email **************, ***********************, and the main company phone number...we have received no response and believe this company has been fraudulent and has now proceeded with theft of my money.

      ******************** is understandably frustrated by our delays between response times, we apologize and we understand that we should have been more readily responsive to his concerns. ******************** is still due a refund of his check and this will be resolved shortly.

      Better Business Bureau:

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

      The business has yet to issue a refund and simply wrote me an email that stated that business monies are tied up in operations and they will get me a refund shortly.  It has now been almost 3 months since the refund was supposed to be issued and the ONLY reason Solanta has appeared to respond is because I filed a formal complaint.  **** Santa (the owner) admitted they were delinquent in issuing my refund and has offered my refund plus interest as compensation.  He wanted to call me to discuss, and I offered my availability anytime on 10/14/22 or 10/17/22.  I received no response to my email and no phone call.  This matter will only be resolved when I receive my actual refund.  Other consumers should be appropriately warned of the terrible practices of this business, potential fraud, and theft of money.

      *******'s 30% deposit was used to purchase materials, specifically to pre-pay for solar modules, for his job, which now must be used on another project. ******* and I (**************) spoke on 10/25 with a prescriptive remedy to refund his money within the coming weeks. ******* requested a more specific answer and I suggested that we would communicate weekly until resolution is made.

       I have only spoken with **************, the owner of Solanta, once since we had cancelled our contract over 3 months ago.  I do not believe our monies were used for any pre-purchase for our project because the solar modules for our project were not even available.  During this one phone call, we were told by ************** that he will issue us a refund but that the money is tied up in capital expenses.  **** also wrote us an email that he felt an appropriate resolution would be to pay us our refund plus interest.  This does seem like an agreeable resolution BUT those are just words and there remains no date in site as to when we will actually receive our money. This case will not be resolved  until our refund is in hand.

      RE: No Response for Order for Deck Enclosure in July 2020.  Equipment for the structure was delivered to my backyard on Fri April 23rd. No one has been able to give me an installation date.  This is just a string of events that demonstrates Salonta's inability to deliver service. I gave them 2 payments   totaling  close to $8000 last July 2020. I received the delivery in April 2021. After several calls made to various contacts, no one can give me an installation date.  I can give you more details and receipts if needed.   I would appreciate it if you can help me get a refund, get equipment picked up or have the enclosure I ordered installed. I have also asked for a copy of the plans, but I have received nothing to date. Please advise if you have suggestions as to how to proceed to get a copy of the plans, a refund or installation.

      There were significant delays with the project due to the Covid-pandemic. Our company did its best to communicate that the timeframe was uncertain from the start of the sale. Since this complaint was filed, the installation of the products has started and is more than half-way complete. As we are primarily a solar contractor, this project was outside of our standard scope of work, and due to the pandemic, we did not have the man-power to facilitate construction of the project until recently. We have done everything possible to ensure the quality installation of these products for this customer, given the resources we have and the tremendous reduction of the sale price.
