We contracted JSM fence through ***** to install a fence. We signed the contract 5/1 and were told it would be 90 days for the fence to be completed. The materials arrived on 6/6. We were told that JSM would be calling within 48 hours. We never heard from them. We contacted ****’s who stated they also could not get in contact with John, the owner of JSM. John called and stated they would be at our house on 7/25. On 7/24 John called to reschedule for 7/27 due to running behind on a different project. My wife spoke with John and informed him that we needed the fence completed by 7/31 because we would be in the NICU with our baby. On 7/27 John’s team arrived and stated that they couldn’t do the job because there were materials missing. My wife called John and he stated they would come back 7/31. My wife also reviewed the request with John then and discussed the fence being flush with the house. John confirmed this was the order. My wife confirmed with John that we would not be home due to being in the NICU, but we would be available by phone. It took John’s team several days to remove and install the fence. My wife and I came home on 8/10 and John’s men were finishing up the fence. When we came home we noticed that the fence was not placed properly as ordered and it was almost to the front of the house on the left side and on the right side was 6 feet farther back from the back of the house. John came and confirmed that his men misplaced the fence and stated he would close this order out, reorder the necessary parts and open a new work order. When we asked John when we could expect this to be done he stated it would be two weeks. This was the last we ever heard from John. My wife has called ***** weekly since 8/10 and they’ve stated that John marked the job as complete. It appears he ordered the materials, but has not opened a new work order. ***** and my wife have tried contacting John numerous times and no one has been able to make contact with him.
