I hired Royalton Remodeling on October 2, 2022 to do a remodel on a new bathroom, first floor laundry, walk-in closet, and my bedroom. I gave a $2200.00 check to be put on his schedule and get permit. On October 12, 2022 I gave an $11,000.00 check, as per agreement, for a deposit on special order items: tile, bathroom vanity, sink, toilet tub and all the fixtures to go with each item. On November 30, 2022, as per agreement, I gave $11,000.00 check for payment to start the job. I ordered all the bathroom essentials and Luke, the owner, put a down payment of $1350.00 on the order. He also applied for a permit of $117.00. I ordered all my tile which didn't need a deposit. The company started the job on November 30, 2022 with the demolishing of my bathroom being converted to a new bathroom, The walls were gutted, the floor was ripped up, and the floor was prepped for leveling. That was completed on December 9, 2022. Luke told me at that point the plumbing needed to be done. I texted and spoke with Luke several times about when that was going to start. Several texts and phone calls were not answered or responding to. On February 22, 2023 I filed a police report with the ******** Police Department. On Friday, February 2, 2023 Luke sent me a text saying "I will be sending you a refund less monies spent. I will make arrangements for your plumbing fixtures and your tile to be delivered to your house". I text him that I wanted a detailed description of what the money was spent on with the check he was to send me. I text him that I made the arrangements of delivery of the product. I have sent him several texts and phone calls with no answer or response. I have spoken with the ******** Police Officer, via email, several times with no resolution. I gave Luke a total of $24,200.00 and very little was spent and my job is far from complete. To this date there has been no resolution.
