Let's start with I would give this company a zero for a review if I could, I have recently purchased a truck from them and when I say recently I mean 2 1/2 weeks ago. Since the day I purchased the vehicle it has nothing other than problems it all started with a radiator that was leaking causing coolant to spray out onto engine while driving. I had noticed that day after leaving, the truck had been straight piped without any catalytic converter and did not receive a smog check, then it had a turbo that was completely leaking oil causing smoke to come out of the rear end of the truck which if you ask me is not compliant with a smog check. Upon further inspection of my paperwork seeing no sort of smog check/emissions check they have tried to manipulate the system by reaching out to me informing me to change my insurance to a address in Pahrump Nevada because they have to register the vehicle there, in return i have learned that because they couldnt smog check the vehicle in Las Vegas due to emissions testing. . coming forth onto just after the second week now the motor has let go on me. I have tried to communicate with the company, they ignored me for half a day saying they would get back to me and get back to me and never did, I have called them multiple times got ignored until I finally called their phone so many times they finally answered, after I spoke with the boss he told me they do not hold any liability for what happened to the vehicle even though the vehicle is now not in use and can't be used due to failure emissions, they have offered no help when it comes to repairing the vehicle, and now I am stuck with a truck that needs multiple thousand dollars worth of repairs, and no way to get it fixed besides out of my own pocket after I was informed that the vehicle has gone through an inspection process and the vehicle is good to go. Which is a lie, it was sold to me without a thorough inspection and without emissions testing. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE HERE...Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 12, 2022/02/19) */ In the matter of ****** ******'s concern I would like to help clarify the situation that took place. On Dec. 20th 2021 Mr. ****** came into Chi Motors to look around for a vehicle. His vehicle of interest was a 2006 white ***** This vehicle was a new arrival to Chi Motors and had not been prepared or serviced for sale. The 06 white **** was missing a catalytic converter and had not undergone Chi Motors inspection which includes a standard smog check. This matter was expressed to Mr. ****** and that at this time the vehicle would not be for sale. Mr. ****** at this time was persistent in trying to acquire this vehicle and asked if there was any way to purchase it "as is". We again informed Mr. ****** that the vehicle he was interested in did not have a catalytic converter and cannot pass smog because of its absence. At this time Mr. ****** informed us that Boulder City does not require a smog test where he is from. He also expressed to multiple team members at Chi Motors that he was "happy that the vehicle is straight piped because he was going to do that himself anyways". As far as the mechanical issues, we have text messages between our inventory manager and the customer advising him to have his vehicle towed to one of our shops to have the issue diagnosed, the customer never had the vehicle towed nor did he communicate with us afterwards. The customer did mention in a text message that he attached a "tuner device" to the vehicle as well. A tuner device is known as programmers, engine performance tuners, chips or gauge tuners, these small electronic devices are used to manage and optimize engine performance on diesel trucks. This is an aftermarket engine enhanced part/device that may have resulted in the vehicle's mechanical issues. I truthfully believe at this point there was a lack of transparency in this transaction. at this time i have moved forward with a company I TRUST. If this company feels they want to help with half of those costs it would be gratefully appreciated. Otherwise i will no longer be in communication with them and i will continue to share my AWFUL experience with others.
