I worked with someone called KC. I talked with him prior to selecting him as a lender of choice for a multfamily home in ********* that would be processed through an *** loan. I had another lender say that I wouldn't pass a feasibility test. I brought this up to KC and ** said it wouldnt be an issue at all. I asked KC what his experience with *** multifamily loans are and he said hes got plenty of experience doing this. Fast forward to the *** loan appraisal and it failed the feasibility test. He said theres no way to know what the appraisal would show unless you do it. However, the other lender knew and KC swayed me from what their advice was. I asked ** for a refund on my appraisal and inspection for a total of $1200. He said its only fair to do $800 for the appraisal. I think he should be on the hook for the full $1200 because he said he had experience doing this. However, it was clear that he lacked experience for these types of deals. I shouldn't have to pay for his education. In either case, I agreed to just send me the appraisal and he stopped communicating with me. Hes left me on read for two days now.I would like the full refund so I can move on. Full because now this lender is costing value instead of adding value.
