I got my implants 4 years ago. At that time I was informed that I would need yearly cleanings, which at the time was $150. The staff bragged to me at that time that they had the lowest prices in town which is why so many people chose their services. That price continued until this year when they increased the price from $150 to $500. I want to know the justification for this exorbitant increase. I can't go anywhere else for a cleaning for all the other places that do implants will only do cleanings for patients who got their implants from them. So I'm stuck with G4 by Gulpa when it comes to cleanings and I have no choice but to pay their new exorbitant prices. That means I have to put off my cleanings for now.Again, I'd like an explanation for such a huge increase in cleanings.

Initial G4 surg Sep 27, 2017. Emergency surg due to dentist negligence early Oct 2017. Golpa has not produced a set of dental bridges/teeth that he stated he would produce even after 9 sets! Paid $34K for dental implants & fixed arches. That cost was to include a working set of bridges that fit my mouth, cleanings at his ***************** warranty on the implants. What I've received are ill-fitting, chunky, clunky pieces of plastic. My jaws ache because my bite is off & my facial muscles are sore from having to work so hard in order for me to talk (Botox/masseters) My speech ***** enough that I hate talking. I don't even join in conversations now because I can't get my ************* to form my words properly. I end up stuttering, slurring & spitting at people. I do not smile anymore because my smile is unnatural ************ is physically awkward to form! I can not sweep my tongue around the outer side of my gums to bring the partially chewed food back onto my tongue side to finish chewing it. My TMJ has returned after 20+ years. I look 20 years older because the placement of Golpa's bridges are so far off, my face has sunken inwards. My lips have NO support, my tongue protrudes over my bottom bridge because it doesn't have enough room to lay naturally. I now have 'smoker lines' on my ******** DON'T SMOKE! When I brought all this up to Golpa, he said "So..., go get lips injections and filler!" I shouldn't have to pay MORE MONEY to fix what Golpa's lack of knowledge and integrity, broke. I've had to wait since 5/5/22 to have my access holes filled. Today 8/8/22, I get a call from Golpa's confirming my appointment tomorrow. I'm told "As of today, you will have to pay $150 for a cleaning. And that cost will go higher if you have to have anything else done." I explain that I have a ************* cleanings, let alone major issues like cracks & such, are covered for free & they always have been she tells me "Sorry." I can't turn the other cheek anymore. I tired, I'm done!

      ***Document Attached***
Received a call from ****** at **********************'s office on Aug 10, 2022. She profusely apologized for the 'new' employee's error in telling me I had to pay $150.00 for a cleaning. She went on to say "Come in so we can see what Dr. ********************** can do for you."

My response is as follows -

"I tried for 5 years to be polite, respectful and patient with each dentist and technician there. I remained hopeful that Dr. ********************** could deliver what he stated he would deliver in my initial consultation. But he hasn't and the whole G4 experience has been very traumatic for me and has left me with extreme dental anxiety and PTSD. (both of which have been diagnosed by a mental health professional.) If the mistreatment and disrespect had only come from his staff, I'd probably come back in for one last try to see if he could get my bridges correct. But he, himself, has blatantly disregarded my pleas for help and he's continuously made me feel like all of this is my fault. If he knew how to fix my on going issues, I honestly think he would have done it by now..., because I don't want to believe that he is a cruel man and that all the terrible things I have been made to go through at his office have been intentional. ******, as you can now understand, I can not come back in to see IF he can MAYBE fix things. I just can't put myself through any more of this stress and torment. I do appreciate you reaching out to me in an effort to help me but it has come 5 years, 9 fixed bridges, 2 surgeries and countless 5 hour appointments too late."

Once again, if I had been toothless and/or suffering with ill-fitting dentures...., then this might be a different story. But I had 24 permanent teeth in my mouth that he pulled out during my first surgery.

I am currently trying to secure an appointment with a Prosthodontist (hopefully who specializes in malocclusion issues with a fixed prosthetic) but as you can imagine it is NOT easy. But I am not giving up because I know that I wasn't meant to suffer this way.

I will not be able to email ****** due to the fact that I am out of state, on business, and I cannot devote any of my energy to this on-going stressful and debilitating dental catastrophe. I have made appointments with 2 Prosthodontists for the first 2 weeks of Oct. At that point I will know more about the (possible) damage to my actual implants (due to the crack in my bottom arch), as well as how to correct the malocclusion that is causing me so much pain and agony. The crack in my bottom arch gets food impacted in it, which then causes me intense pain from the pressure it places on the 2 implants that are on either side of the crack. I've told several of Golpa's employees on the phone, in emails and even in person about the crack in my lower arch and about the 2 chips (dead center, between my 2 front teeth, in my upper arch) and about the fact that I need some access holes filled. Yet no one seemed to care about my health until I filed this complaint. I am currently on antibiotics as a precaution. Shame on you all. No, I don't accept the response from the business.

I had my procedure done with Dr. Golpa's location in 2016 in Las Vegas, and at that time, I thought I had made the best decision, personally and financially. I flew all the way across the country, spent a lot of money on the procedure and travel expenses, only to be let down when I began experiencing problems. My initial experience with the doctors and staff was great they were patient with me and listened to my concerns. I was glad that I would finally be able to eat what I wanted, based on the claims in the advertisements, and not worry about breaking my teeth. Except I've suffered several broken teeth while eating normal foods. My teeth have broken while eating a sandwich, a softshell taco, potato chips and today while eating a breakfast sandwich, and after spending all that money, I'm still expected to pay for the cost of a full bridge when my teeth break due to poor quality, when I've read about other patients being given new bridges without even having broken teeth. I've included screenshots of warranties on their website that are not followed through on. I feel ripped off... I'm a police officer and I have to face the public every day, and I've had to deal with some broken back teeth, but now I have a broken front tooth and it's totally embarrassing to have to face my peers and the public this way. I feel as if once my initial procedure was complete and my money was in their hands, my issues were put on the back burner and I was treated like a nuisance when I began to suffer problems. They seemed very defensive about it, when all I wanted was to be confident in my smile that I've invested so much in. Knowing what I know now and after dealing with the issues I've had with teeth breaking, I wish I would have chosen to go somewhere else. I'm sitting in another dentists chair as I'm writing this and I'm being told I should have never been placed with PMMA bridges at my age they're not made for long term. It will cost another $20k for proper dentures!

Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2022/01/04) */ At the time of Mrs. ****** surgery in 2016 we offered 2 materials for the prosthetic. PMMA with bar, and Zirconia. Mrs. ***** choose the PMMA with bar. We made several attempts, via phone and email, over the past year, to reach Mrs. ***** to resolve the issue, and upgrade her to a new material, but have not heard back. We have new locations and new materials that will make it more convenient, and resolve any issues. Consumer Response /* (3000, 10, 2022/01/06) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I'm not satisfied with their response. It is true that I chose the PMMA material, not because of cost, but because the zirconia material is heavier and "clacks" when you're chewing. I was never told that my teeth could break within months or that I needed to be cautious of what I ate. In fact, part of the advertisement was that you could eat what you wanted and included a video of a patient eating an apple. I've read other google reviews from patients that received their bridges/archs around the same time frame that I did, that were having similar issues, and that Golpa's office explained to them that they were experiencing more breakage problems with the latest material they were using and upgraded their bridges at no cost. Dr. Golpa's staff reached out to me only after I had brought the issues to their attention, that my bridges were breaking very soon, within just a few months after being fitted with new ones. When I reached out to them, their answer to my issues was to replace my archs for an additional $1,750 per arch. That would be another $3,500 and there's no guarantee that I wouldn't be in the same position in another few months. The dentist that repaired my arch stated that one of my abutments on top should have been curved, but was installed with a straight abutment which could cause issues with the pressure distribution of my bite. This abutment could be contributing to the problem I continue to have to deal with. After paying over $30,000 for teeth plus thousands more traveling back and forth, I feel that anyone would expect the product to last longer than a few months. I have no confidence in my smile and I dread eating because I have constant anxiety that my teeth will break. The dentist that repaired my bridge stated that he could replace them with a better material, but the cost would be $20,000 and a lengthy process. I'd be satisfied if Dr. Golpa's office would cover that cost. Business Response /* (4000, 12, 2022/01/11) */ *******, please contact the office so we can resolve this matter.
