We had a fire in our garage and our insurance company wanted us to use Servepro for clean up and restoration. Our insurance company contracted with them for the restoration. The insurance company sent a check to them that was also made out to us and our mortgage company but was deposited into servepros account without coming to us or the mortgage company so they got all their money upfront. The project took almost 7 months and still is not completed to my satisfaction. The final thing that is not done and which ServePro is refusing to do is to complete the insulation above the garage. We had 30 inches of insulation above our garage which had to be removed due to smoke. Our insurance company agreed to pay to have it replaced and it is in the contract with servepro. Initially when they blew in the insulation they only blew in 2 inches. When I found this and reported it to the contractor they said they would add the additional insulation. They took ***** of blown in insulation to the attic and blew it around with a leaf blower each time adding only a few inches of insulation. This process was totally unsafe for the workers doing the work and disrupted the installation in the other parts of the attic. After at 7 times doing this they still did not have even 24 inches of insulation had blocked the vents blew deep holes in the insulation in other parts of the attic. Finally they brought supposedly 24 ***** of insulation and said they got it to 30 inches. They sent photos that they said showed that. I was at work working a 12 hour shift. They wanted me to sign the certificate of completion but I wouldnt until I say the work since they has been completely unreliable. After work I got in the attic and there was 24 inches in some places ***** in some places and in one area that was difficult to access there was only 2-4 inches. I had an insulation expert come and inspect the attic and sent his report to servepro and they refused to take care of the problem.
