Additional Information for Beautiful Skin

BBB promotes truth in advertising by contacting advertisers whose claims conflict with the BBB Code of Advertising. These claims come to our attention from our internal review of advertising, consumer complaints and competitor challenges. BBB asks advertisers to prove their claims, change ads to make offers more clear to consumers, and remove misleading or deceptive statements.

Beginning November 24, 2021, Better Business Bureau Serving New Mexico and Southwestern Colorado requested Beautiful Skin to substantiate, modify or discontinue its advertising on their website, https://beautifulskinsantafe.com/, "Lowest Prices in Santa Fe and Albuquerque", by providing clarification and adding the required disclosure for lowest prices, underselling claims, price equaling, meeting competitors' prices advertised. 

BBB requested the business substantiate, modify or discontinue their advertising per standards outlined in BBB's Code of Advertising 12. (Lowest prices, underselling claims) and BBB's Code of Advertising 13. (Price equaling, meeting competitors’ prices). This advertising fails to meet the BBB Code of Advertising. The primary responsibility for truthful and non-deceptive advertising rests with the advertiser. Advertisers should be prepared to substantiate any claims or offers, made before publication or broadcast, or upon request, present such substantiation promptly to the advertising medium or the Better Business Bureau. Advertisements which are untrue, misleading, deceptive, fraudulent, falsely disparaging of competitors, or insincere offers to sell, shall not be used. Misrepresentation may result not only from direct statements, but by omitting or obscuring a material fact.

Beautiful Skin failed to substantiate, modify or discontinue their advertisement per BBB's request.
