The Martinizing Dry Cleaners store on St Francis Drive Santa Fe has lost a sweater of mine and has been completely unresponsive in addressing the issue and compensating me for that loss. Here are the facts: on December 5th, 2022 I brought to Martinizing a cashmere sweater to be repaired and cleaned. When I returned a week later to pick it up (together with a few other items), the assistant could not find it and asked me to come back the following week. I did that on two further occasions and the sweater was still missing. After the Christmas holidays I filed a complaint for compensation for the sweater and as of today (March 2, 2023) I have received neither follow-up communication that the claim is being processed nor any compensation for the lost item. I have been successively told “the sweater was old and had holes in it” — precisely the reason why I was bringing it in to be repaired and not my problem that the item was a few years old — to “the owner is considering the claim but is traveling” to “ it will take some time to determine the claim.” There should be nothing to evaluate here. The store lost my sweater and should pay me some compensation to remedy the matter immediately. But it is clear from my last communication that the owner of the store intends to do nothing about this claim hoping to wear me down with delays and unresponsiveness in the belief I will just go away. I won’t. I trusted Martinizing with an item of my clothing. The franchisee was negligent in how the item was handled. Worse still they just don’t care and have a singular disregard for the concept of customer service. Can you please intervene here and help me resolve this matter? ****** *********Business response
