10/17/2020 purchased a vehicle for 6,500 from Krys at Chalmers Ford who insisted it was a good car, low mileage for it's age and showed me a carfax that included some prior minor repairs but they neglected to tell me the vehicle had 2 prior engine replacements which I discovered after the vehicle's engine seized on me 1,100 miles after the purchase and I took it to ******* ***** service department who verified it needed a new engine (it's 3rd) for $10,000. They showed me they vehicle history report that was much more extensive. Chalmers Ford did not provide me the carfax report I signed off on either in my paperwork. I would have never bought this vehicle had they disclosed the full service report. I called the dealer and spoke to a sales manager named Michael H****** and asked if they could do anything for me. He took my information and after several requests for an update on my request he has not responded. The purchase agreement number *** and car VIN# *****************Business response

Thank you for reaching out to me yesterday about Ms. ******’s Mazda. We had a manger change at the outlet where she bought the vehicle and did have a lapse in communication and handoff. I did reach out to Ms. ****** at the beginning of the month. In her complaint she stated that we did not disclose that the vehicle had two engines replaced. We do have signed Carfax documents that show 1 engine was replaced. I was able to speak to her. I did let her know she had reviewed the Carfax and one engine replacement was identified. She stated that the Mazda store had additional records. I explained that neither of us had access to those prior to the sale. I proposed that she exchange the vehicle or participate 30% in a repair. She let me know that her father had hauled the vehicle to a recycler. I called her back and told her I would refund her half of the vehicle $3250. I have sent her a check.
