On November 25th 2022 I made a contract to buy a new truck from high country auto in Aztec, New Mexico. I gave them a trade in and I also gave them $2640 I was able to get the truck but then for no reason the sales person came to pick up the truck with a cop saying that my paycheck Stubbs were not accurate I work for a doctor's office in Durango so I told them they could call them they still took the truck and said they would give me my tradeing back and give me my money back 7-10 days. When I call or my family calls to speak to managers they will not let us talk to the general manager or the sales manager and say it's out of their hands that we should be getting the money and they don't really know I have been called names by the front desk staff such as a ***** and laughed at.Business response

Date: July 17, 2021 Action taken by dealer, a Yoyo Deal, Dealer led us on to believe that we had a vehicle ready for pick up. All decision were made by the dealer prior to date of pickup. Dealer was selling us a used vehicle with over 250 miles and selling it to us as a new vehicle. They forced me to put my name as a joint account and now I am receiving mail with denied credit. We went along with all they requested, telling us to bring this and that. We did everything we were told to do and in the end they refused to give us vehicle. We brought in $1,000 down payment and they wanted more money ($2,000) and refused to go through with the sale. They were charging us a low inventory fee of $3,000, which could have been reversed to cover the additional funds they wanted from us. The radio ad for Hi-Country chevrolet states taking in used vehicles for trade in and ok with bad credit. No paperwork shared & did not cover what was in contract. Treated us bad because we are Native Americans.Business response

Ms. ******,
We understand your frustration regarding your experience. Upon finalizing the deal, crucial information provided to us was unable to be documented and verified as accurate.
There was also a discrepancy of approximately 200,000 miles to the miles provided on the trade, which does change the value of the vehicle.
With the updated information, we were able to obtain an approval on a pre-owned vehicle, however the bank which provided the approval requested additional money down.
We do appreciate you giving us the opportunity to earn your business.Initial Complaint

First it was the battery was faulty so I paid for a new one. Second I was told the bottom of the vehicle, everything is worn out so they estimated me getting it all fixed at $1400. I was saving up when the temperature kept going high and it was scary driving in the city in case of over heating. Then I heard a loud boom from the engine and since then A/C hasn’t worked and the air bag light came on. Also there are 2 more I forgot to mention. The same time the guys replaced my battery, he said he found a rat’s nest so there could possibly be some frayed wires or “getting there” frayed wires. Next the sensors for the tires are mixed up, they don’t go to the correct one. I had to buy my own manual tire pressure gauge at the store for me to air up the right one. I got the vehicle right before Christmas 2020 with $1,750.00 down payment and $14,800 total. I told the employee all my complaints and concerns about the vehicle given to me faulty but they said it’s too early to apply for a tradeBusiness response
