I signed a contract on 11/02/2021 to get solar installed on my home. I was told that I would be contacted within 48 hours to do a site inspection. I was not contacted until I called the company 14 days after signing the contract. The site inspection was completed on 11/16/2021. I received no further contact until I reached out again 01/26/2022. On 01/26/2022 I was asked if I had been provided site plans which I had not. I was emailed that "everything was good" with permits and interconnections. I was told that they were looking at at install date of the third week of February and would be contacted a week prior. The first week of March we contacted the company again and were told that they would be doing installs next week in our area. On Friday of the following week 0/04/2022 we contacted the company and were asked "how long are you willing to wait". On Friday March 11th we contacted the company again asking to cancel our contract. Were were told there would be a fee for canceling. We were offered an install date of March 28th. We called daily asking for an invoice. On March 17th we received an invoice for 4,000 dollars. Our contract states that install would occur within 120 days of signing. Which would have been 03/02/2022. The contract also states that there is a maximum fee of 3,000.00 7 days before install which the date we received after requesting to cancel was more than 7 days out. The contract states the a maximum fee of 1,500 will be charged after interconnections has been filed which it was.
