************** allows users to "build" vehicles online, print the build and order the vehicle at a GMC Dealer. On 6/15/2023, I placed an order for a custom 2023 GMC ****** using the online build web tool. I placed the order at the Pitre dealership, and I placed a $1,000 credit card deposit. My salesman was __________. When I visited the dealership on 7/14 to get a status, I was told by ________, a Sales Manager, that:* My order had not been "accepted" by GM * GM was no longer accepting orders for custom 2023 vehicles. (They can still be 'built' online at GMC.com). **** said I would be getting a **** truck, and a price change he did not disclose.* My choice of a rear-wheel drive vehicle would be difficult to get and was holding up the order. I would be better off ordering a four-wheel drive vehicle (an extra ~$3800).* My choice of an "Ultimate Towing Package" add-on would be difficult to get and was holding up the order. * There was no one at GM that the dealership could contact to get any more information on if or when the truck would be built. I was told I could get my $1,000 deposit refunded if I wished but was given no other option as far as the vehicle I wanted. I consider this to be bait and switch because GM allows users to specify vehicle type and features, but this dealership not only could not get what is advertised, they only offered my more expensive options that were on the lot.

I went in for a regular service of oil change and tire rotation and to have them check a "Check Brake System" alert on my 2019 GMC Terrain. This was the 2nd time. I had them check the same issue a few months back. At that time, I was charged an additional $145 because they had to use the diagnostic computer and promised me then the issue had been resolved. I come back with the same issue and was told by ********************* that the only way to fix the issue was to purchase a $500 battery they sell there. I refused to pay such amount for a car battery and requested for my vehicle to be released back to me. I saw one of the mechanics go and mess with the battery and was handed my keys. Soon after leaving the "Check Engine Light" came on. I took my vehicle to an Autozone to have them run a diagnostic check and also on the life of battery. Autozone said there was absolutely nothing wrong with the battery and that it was a battery sensor. I went back to Pitre the next day to tell them about the "Check Engine Light". ********************* again recommended buying the $500 battery and I asked him if that would fix ALL of the issues going on and he said no. My daughter made a comment to him about him BS'ing us, he then became irate and was told to leave the establishment if we were not ging to buy the battery and to never go back. I had my son-in-law check the battery connections and there was one that was deliberetaly disconnected. As soon as it was plugged back in, the "Check Engine Light" came off. Never will I go back to Pitre for service or any type of purchases and will make sure everyone knows what an absolutely poor customer service experience I had with them.

Put down $1000 deposit in April 2021 for a new truck. Was not told of any delays. Months go by with no communication. I call and am assured that the truck is still coming but the chip shortage is causing problems. Months go by and then told things are looking up. Weeks go by and Im told paper work is delivered. Weeks more go by and they say any day now. Days go by and they say delivery should be by Dec. *****. Two more weeks go by and I call again to complain. Lots of mush mouth platitudes but no explanation. I ask if I need I lawyer. They hang up! Within a half hour I get an email thats says our contract has been cancelled so sorry . After 8 months all I get is sorry!!! Yikes! Never use Pitre or GMC again.
