I was recommended Rio Grande Credit Union by family. I started an account a few months now. I have online banking and ive been seeing double charges. I'm working on getting a new vehicle. They said this is a great bank. So I've had this bank for the last few months. I've been noticing on online banking that if I use a certain amount of funds it takes twice the amount then a week or so later it credits it back into my account. So last month and this month they have done repeated overdraft on me just to put money back into my account a week later for the hold on funds. After I'm forced to pay overdrafts fees. This is the second month and it's been a disaster of a bank. I called and reported this. I get " that's so weird " " I'll note your account " then I asked to get an inquiry into my account and get a reverse on all the overdraft fees she said that's impossible we are very strict and will not but I'll send this out. Just to have another hit on my bank double charging again 3 hrs after I reported it. Horrible nightmare banking with them. I'm constantly checking my account to see how much money they took now. It should be like this. The amount today alone is more then 50 not including last month.Business response

I am filing this complaint cause I became a member of Rio grande Credit union in February of 2023 while I was living in ABQ. I moved back to NY as my job transferred me back and I was trying to make a payment of my account at a shared branch in New York and the credit union told me my account was blocked. I called and spoke to someone at the credit union at Rio Grande Credit Union and while I did not have my member number, I gave therm my social and they told me they were not able to pull up an account. They searched with my name and the account was found but I was advised to go into a branch, but being that I am not living in ABQ anymore that is not possible. I have asked them to make sure my correct social security number is on file but have been unsuccessful.Business response

I received an unsolicited advertisement from the company. When I called to ask to be removed from their mailing list, the representative said that I had to be a member to be removed. I found that to be absurd because the advertisement was to try to get me to be a member. Essentially they are saying the only way to stop receiving unwanted mail from them is to give in and join.Business response

Rio grande credit union is a complete and utter joke along with their employees and upper management. Just terrible. I have an auto loan with them only ( would never ever even think of banking with them ) and I deposited 1k dollars into atm ******** at 3:26pm mountain standard time on 6/18/2022 And the atm stated “we encountered a problem and cannot return your cash” ( have the receipt matching that ) also took a picture as well. The atm kept my thousand dollars and did not deposit them into my account. I spoke today with a mikayla m**** and her supervisor ( can’t remember her name) and she is not suited for her position as a supervisor as she has no customer service skills, lacks empathy, did not solve the problem, nor tried to help. I need this resolved asap. I know 1k may not be a lot of money to some people, but it is to me and I need this rectified immediately.Business response

I opened a new account with Rio Grande Credit Union around May 8, 2022. My credit score was 752 and I applied for a credit card as well to continue to build credit. My plan is to buy a new car and I wanted to make sure my credit stayed excellent. I waited a couple of weeks and had received no card. I called and they told me someone had forgot to order the card and that they would take care of it. On May 28th I received my physical card and used it for one day for small purchases. The next day my card was being declined so I called member services and they said I was 30 days delinquent. I explained the situation that I had not even had the card for 2 days so I could not be delinquent. The person at Rio Grande Credit Union assured me that this would be corrected and that my card was ready to be used and it would not affect my credit. A week later I checked my credit score and it had dropped from 756 to about 511. I saw that Rio Grande Credit Union had falsely reported I was 120-149 days late on my payment for my card! I immediately did a dispute online with Transunion. On 06/14/2022 I went into the bank and spoke with a supervisor about the situation and they told me it was out of their control and that I could only file the dispute. On top of this I have been given 4 different interest rates for my credit card with no one able to give me a correct answer. I have called and been transferred to about 10 different people who advised me that they cannot help me and that their was no supervisor able to help me. I went to the mail on 06/14/2022 and received a letter from Rio Grande Credit Union advising that I am 44,000 days late on my payment! I called again and reported the false information and no one could assist me and I was hung up on. I am beyond frustrated and this is a nightmare of a bank. I need help restoring my credit for this incompetent bank fraudulently reporting false information.Business response

I have a loan at this bank, and after multiple issues that I've had with the bank, came so very unsettling news. I was given false information about my loan. so I finally got fed up with the not answering and the never getting answers to my questions, i chose to change my loan to a different bank. In the processes of doing this i have found out that Rio Grande credit union not only didn't inform me that my loan officer no longer works there, but they cannot find the title to my vehicle that I have proof that it is in their possession. My supposed loan officer put the loan under a vehicle that is not the vehicle the loan should be under, nor do I know where she got the information for the vehicle she put the loan under. She also ran another credit check on me without my knowledge or approval, and there's nothing I can do to get that back. And to top it off they are trying to tell me that it is my responsibility to get a new title for them loosing the title, and only offering to credit me $5 to get a new one. This is in no way my fault that they lost my title to my vehicle. And they need to be apprehended for loosing legal documents and that has not been put in a proper secure area, and for the loan officer putting false information under my loan that was never given to her by me.Business response
