I have not filed a complaint until this time because I was waiting for my insurance company to enable me to proceed with the complaint process. I was informed at the time that I went under contract to purchase my home that the hot water heater was replaced by the sellers in August of 2021. On 6/26/22 the hot water heater failed and I sustained flood damage to my house. During the repair it was brought to my attention that the water heater was from 2011 per the plate on the water heater, and that only a new expansion tank had been installed on top of the hot water tank. I have attached the permit information for this installation *************) and it shows that this permit was originated by ****** ******* *** *******, not RSCI General Contractors, Inc. Since the home that RSCI General Contractors Inc. operates from is on my street, I have witnessed that from time to time I have seen a truck from ****** ******* *** ******* parked in the driveway of that house. I suspect that ******* ******* works for ****** ******* *** ******* in addition to having his own business, RSCI General Contractors, Inc. and therefore originated the permit for this work under ****** ******* *** *******. My insurance Company had the hot water tank taken to ***** *********** for lab analysis. I have attached the report from ***** *********** showing that the hot water tank did not fail due to defective parts, that it was simply a water tank from 2011 that was past the end of its useful life. RSCI General Contractors Inc. acted fraudulently and maliciously by representing that they had installed a new water heater when they had not done so, going so far as to only install a new expansion tank on the existing installation to enable the work to pass inspection and applying for a permit under another company. They were falsely paid for this work out of escrow funds by the seller when I purchased the home.
