I paid my co-pay on 7/5/23. I provided them with the confirmation number I received from their web site. I have received four phone calls and four addition bills demanding I pay again. I'm told by one of my employees that they did the same to him and to people he knows.Customer response

i was having a medical issue and i was barely 21 going to the hospital on my own and didn’t know what to do and what not to do and made it clear to the doctor and nurses there. i feel they took advantage of me to get more money from me. i had an appointment every 2 weeks that i was already having to pay $75 a visit for, which i could barely already afford to do. the doctor would come in the room after i waited for 45 minutes to an hour and then he would ask how i was and then send me home. he was in the room for me for less than 5 minutes almost every appointment. i now have 4 bills with the hospital which i cannot afford to pay because i feel i’ve been over charged and taken advantage of as a young person who hadn’t had to do anything like that before. i’ve tried calling them and disputing the costs or getting some assistance on lowering my bills at all and nobody has helped me or sent me to someone who can. they will not dispute the charges with me even though i’ve been charged for a 5 minute interaction.Business response

My Name is ****** *****, I am the patient Advocate for Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center. I am happy to discuss the concerns identified in this complaint with the patient. I will review her office visits and answer any answer any questions about her experience. The organization offers a financial assistant program for our patients that need a payment schedule, we also have an indigent program that covers medical expenses for patients meeting the criteria. Patient Financial Services sent an application to the address on file with our organization, the letter was returned as unclaimed.
We are happy to use the services we have available to assist with this issue.
