Went in to Daves and bought some magazines for 1911. First off one was cheaper then the other two and they charged me the higher price for all three, so got ripped off there. Second, one of the mags did not function properly so I took it back snd instead of exchanging the owner sanded down parts of the mag (shown in picture). It does function, but when I told him I would rather have a new one all the same, he refused. I could let it go because it functions, but now could rust. Ive been going there for years, spent plenty money there. One of the only places I thought would be consistent and not fall apart during this pandemic. Really disappointed especially since its a local business I tried to support and did trust.

Since the customer never said anything to me about the price of the magazines I did not address that. Different brands and different part numbers do cost different prices. I removed a burr from the inside of the magazine and told him this sometimes happens with stamped sheet metal parts. I then ran some inert ammo through the same model gun that he owns and it worked perfectly. While he did ask about replacing the magazine, after seeing it work, he said "as long as it works" he was happy.
