I bought 2013 ****** Frontier from Keyless Motors. When I talked to the salesman I ask two questions.1. Is their rust on the vehicle.2. Is there anything wrong with it.The answer was no rust and "its all working great."Upon receiving the truck there is significant rust on critical components, its leaking transmission fluid, the drive belt was worn out, air conditioner is broken, and a faulty rear differential.Once I took the truck to a mechanic they refused to work on it and said they don't even know where to start with fixing all the problems.

As verified by the police investigator that was involved in my months-long attempt to secure a refund from Keyless Motors (Das Cars, ***** this company is a scam operation and has been shut down before due to fraudulent business practices. This was an awful saga for myself and my family, spare yourself a similar fate and buy a vehicle from a different company. The details:Unfortunately, I saw a few good reviews for this dealership back in August 2023, which made me think that it was okay to purchase a vehicle from them. This turned out to be a massive mistake. They sold me a lemon (seriously mechanically flawed car) knowing that it was a bad car; their in-house mechanic approved the car for sale with a shot transmission. They made so many promises that they did not keep. They lied to me on multiple occasions. They do not answer the phone once they know you have a problem with the vehicle you bought. I basically was fighting with them from early August through the end of October. They promised to fix the problem, then they decided it was too much money. So they promised to refund me, but they did not do so for over a month. At one point, they even told me that the check was already mailed to me. Then they refused to answer the phone once I had waited a week for it to get to me. Turns out they never sent it, they told me a flat out lie..It finally took me filing a seven-page police report detailing all of the various scams, lies, and avoidances for them to send me the check. On top of all of that, the way that they advertise is deceitful at best; they list their cars $3,000 less than what they want for them, to lure you in and get you interested. Then they **** the price and point you to fine print saying that *********** financing asked them to lie about pricing. They are gaming search results by listing the cars $3,000 less than the sale price. The police said that I was not the first person who was scammed by this company.

    Business Response

    Date: 11/04/2023

    Dear Better Business Bureau,

Thank you for bringing this customer complaint to our attention. We would like to provide our response and address the concerns raised by ******************************

Firstly, we acknowledge that ************** purchased a vehicle from us in August 2023 and experienced transmission problems shortly after. We understand his frustration and apologize for any inconvenience caused. However, it is important to note that the vehicle was sold "as is," meaning that any repairs or issues would be the responsibility of the buyer.

Upon being notified of the transmission issue, we acted in good faith and offered to assist ************** by accepting the return of the vehicle. We conducted a thorough inspection and diagnostic, which unfortunately took longer than anticipated due to the complexity of the problem. Ultimately, we determined that the transmission needed to be replaced, which incurred additional costs.

Despite the vehicle being sold "as is," we decided to refund ************** in full as a gesture of goodwill. We understand that this situation has caused him and his family significant inconvenience, and we wanted to rectify the issue to the best of our ability.

Regarding the allegations of fraudulent business practices and being a scam operation, we strongly refute these claims. We have been in business for several years and have always prioritized customer satisfaction and transparency. We have a dedicated in-house mechanic who thoroughly inspects all vehicles before they are sold. Unfortunately, mechanical issues can arise even after a thorough inspection.

Regarding the advertising concerns raised by **************, we assure you that we adhere to all legal and ethical advertising practices. We do not engage in deceitful tactics or intentionally mislead customers. Any discrepancies in pricing may be due to external factors, such as financing requirements or changes in market conditions.

In conclusion, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience ************** experienced with his vehicle. We have already refunded him in full, and we hope that this resolution demonstrates our commitment to customer satisfaction. We value our customers and strive to provide them with the best possible experience.

If you require any further information or clarification, please do not hesitate to contact us. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

    Sincerely,

    *********************************

I am rejecting this response because:

The response ******** is full of lies, like most of the other communications I have had with this company. It's actually nice to finally hear from him, since his lower-level managers kept promising me a meeting with him for over a month and not once that I hear from him at all.

The vehicle was sold under ********** lemon law, so it was not "a gesture of goodwill" for them to purchase it back from me, they were legally required to do so. The unfortunate thing is, they took possession of my car and then refused to pay me back for it. The only reason I got most of the purchase price returned to me is because I filed a seven-page complaint with their police department, and a cop physically showed up to their place of business and had them cut the *****************. They dragged their feet for weeks prior to that. Not once did a manager at any level ever call me, even after being promised a call. They had possession of both the vehicle and my ~$11,000, while refusing to speak with me. It was theft and fraud. The police were in discussion with the ** about bringing charges.

The tone and tenor of ********'s response is that of innocent victim, when in fact he and his company perpetrated a very stressful and unnecessary financial crime against me, which the police agree with me on. I kept careful records of all of my communications with them, and have all of the evidence. I did finally recover most of my costs due to valiant policing, but it was not due to their sound business practices, it was in spite of them. If the company is truly sorry about what they put my family through, they can reimburse me the cost of having the vehicle shipped to make me entirely whole again, financially.

    Regards,

    *************************

Deposit was made in 3 payments. First payment of 750$ onto a debit card. Second payment of 750 onto a credit card May6. And the third payment of 450$ split on two credit cards a few days later. The last payment of 450$ was made after I was told this is what I needed to pay because it was the balance of the loan that was not covered, and I could pick up the car. I payed it and took delivery of the vehicle maybe 2 days later. After providing a copy of some insurance information to my believe ******. Emailed copy. I am currently being blown off by the company with the only contact being ****** which has actually answered my calls, but still has no information regarding the permanent plate besides it usually comes the last week before temporary registration runs out. Today is 6-1-2023. There are a lot of questions that need to be answered , and apparently nobody is willing to speak about this situation leaving me no choice! *** told me and ****** had said there was a problem with the title and they could not complete the loan, then had said to me ****** had thought it was a mistake with the title. So a month later without receiving payment why has nobody contacted me from Keyless Auto?? Another question? This is my problem. As you can see there is more than a few!

On May 5th, 2023 *********************** came into our dealership to buy a 2007 Hummer H3 with his own financing.  We purchased this car through the Manheim auto auction with a clean carfax.  However we couldn't receive the funds from the bank due to the total loss reported on the carfax that we weren't aware of or notified about until the bank called us and told us they couldn't process the application.
Once we found out what was going on, I notified *************** ****** and let him know that we had two options, I can return his down payment and he will bring the car back or I can get him approved through one of our personal banks. He stated he wanted a new vehicle and we offered to move forward with assisting him. I tried contacting him several times and he told me he's busy working and he had zero time, i asked what he wanted to do with the car. It's been going on for 2 months. He still has the car and just notified us that he still wants to work with us but he wants a different car and we are glad to help him. I gave him multiple options pls be advised. pls feel free to contact us at any time.

Purchase a 2012 mini ****** from keyless motors on 06/29/2022. I put $2000 down and financed the rest. Drove the vehicle 100 miles home to have the check engine light come on. Called the dealer to be told manager wasn't in that he would call me back. I purchased a warranty with the vehicle so decided to see if they will fix the problem. Took vehicle to mechanic to find out its a blown head gasket which the warranty company clearly states it covers head gasket to be told they denied the claim. So then I called the dealer back again to be told the same thing he's not in he will call you back. Then I wrote a bad review and wouldn't you know he call like 30 minutes later to says why didn't you call me first before taking it to a mechanic. So he told me he would try to help me because he has more pull with the warranty company which I think is a scam as well. He then said he would hear back from them by Friday and asked if I could take the bad review down so I did because I thought I was getting some where. Never called Friday then I waited till Tuesday to call back because Monday was a holiday to be told the same thing again he's not in he will call you back. Wednesday and Thursday told the same thing its now Friday and I can't take this anymore looking for help if possible thanks
