Worst place ever to buy a vehicle do not trust these people the car we bought was used and it seems like it was not even worked on before they put it on the lot for sale. They never call you back and the head manager always hides and never calls us back. This vehicle had so many safety issues that were not addressed. Luckily I purchased the warranty offered or I would be broke fixing this lemon vehicle. As soon as we pulled off the lot the vehicles coolant light came on so we went right back they just said it needed to be topped off. This was not the issue it went back 11 times for the same issue with coolant leaking and other safety issues. My wife and I had to become the mechanics and diagnose the car just from driving it. The under plastic was dragging on the ground where the oil is drained from and could of flew off and harmed another ************* threw a fit about having to replace it. They had to replace a broken motor mount because it vibrated the interior plastic to come loose. The tires were bad so they only put 2 new ones on it which they tried to charge us to replace. The turbo was leaking and could of caused a fire. We do not want this vehicle anymore because they can't fix it. They have had the vehicle in their shop more then we get to drive it. Its back at the dealer due to the check engine light coming on and overheating on the highway my family and I were put in danger as the vehicle would only do 3 mph the vehicle had to be towed & I have a newborn son that goes into this vehicle I do not trust it to put him in there. Also there was a problem with front suspension which the mechanic called and said he put oil on it I do not want a temporary fix, I want the part replaced! I'm tired of missing work wasting time and money just to receive a vehicle that only has to be returned to be fixed! They will not take the vehicle back and want us to trade for something else I will never buy or refer anyone to this dealer customer service here is horrible & liarsReview from michael R

******************. This dealership provided a guarantee of inspection. You were instructed to visit an authorized ** inspection agency and in the event the vehicle failed inspection you were to provide the inspection report from that authorized inspection center, and, upon receipt, we would reimburse you for the corrections necessary to enable your vehicle to pass inspection. The documents you sent on numerous occasions were deficient in content. I would like to thank you wife for sending us the appropriate documents this past Thursday. Our accounting office will cut a check this week and once endorsed, we will invite to pick up same. Thank you. *******************Review from J. B.

Key takeaway: Haldeman Ford knowingly sold a car with broken A/C to a pregnant woman.I purchased a used vehicle from Haldeman Ford in December. They were very excited to tell me how they went though the vehicle with a fine-toothed comb, fixed all and any issues. I bought it because I can walk there and wanted a good relationship with a local dealer.I had the car and noticed a handful of issues: Power steering grinding, check engine light came and went, fuses had blown and most importantly- the A/C was not working.I called and talked to them and got a great response: We dont sell cars with issues, we stand by what we sell, well take care of you, no problems- just dont leave a bad reviewI dropped it off, they replaced fuses, topped off my power steering and told me that they didnt have the computer to check out what was wrong with the air conditioning. I was told if I went to GM (used vehicle was a GMC) and got the information needed, theyd correct the issue. I did exactly that- went to GM, talked to them about what diagnostic systems they use and came up with multiple solutions for Haldeman.I finally got ahold of ****, the general manager after 2 months of chasing employees around. Literally MONTHS of being blown off. I was told explicitly: If **** (service manager) said he would fix it, we will fix it. I stand by what my guys say Finally talked to **** and he said he never said he would fix my vehicle. Now its a matter of he-said, she-said.They KNEW this vehicle was for my pregnant wife and our growing family. They know that fixing the A/C is a recharge and maybe a sensor. They dont *********** without A/C is not inconvenient- its downright DANGEROUS.Haldeman Ford sells vehicles they know are broken- they sell them to pregnant women and they dont stand by their word. Id rather buy a used car from anywhere else locally than deal with them.Haldeman Ford Inc. Response

****, i must respectfully disagree with your statement, particularly that our company knowingly sold a vehicle with a broken a/c to a pregnant woman. On 12/29/2022, you executed a purchase for a 2012 GMC Acadia with ******* miles on the odometer. The vehicle was serviced prior to sale and was given a green light to offer an extended service contract as part of the sale. We are unable to offer service contracts on vehicles with preexisting conditions as the warranty company will not honor same. At the time of sale, you were offered the opportunity to purchase an extended warranty which you declined. The federal buyers guide provides cautionary script which includes in bold text the following statement; " AS IS-No Dealer Warranty. The Dealer Does Not Provide a Warranty For Any Repairs After Sale. You acknowledged this federal buyers guide and several other documents indicating that you are assuming all failures and repairs beyond the sale. On January 5th, our sales department made a routine follow up call and recorded your satisfaction with your purchase. On February 16, 2023, you came to our service department with 4 failures on your vehicle. The vehicle had now been in your possession for 7 weeks and driven for ***** miles. We are unable to foresee what if any mechanical issues may arise in a new vehicle, let alone a ******* mile Acadia. In our conversation, i did indicate to you that if our Service Manager informed you that he would repair your vehicle as you indicated, that i would stand behind that. Investigating that on the following Monday, he did not. Also, he had called you and informed you of same. While I certainly understand your frustration with your vehicle, we offer repair services and would be happy to extend some level of discount considering your decision to purchase from us. If you should wish to pursue that offer, please contact *** in service as i will relay this communication to him.Customer Response

When I brought my vehicle to you with 4 failures, you said you would fix them. You fixed some and told me there were steps I needed to take before you fixed them all. I did the steps you told me. You reneged on your promise and then denied ever saying it. You can quote all the paperwork and agreements you want- you made a promise to fix a failing vehicle you sold me and then went back on your word after explicitly stating "If my service manager said he would fix it, **************".You lied and broke your promise. Bottom line.Customer Response

Furthermore, when I initially brought the vehicle to you with the "4 failures" you were adamant that you don't sell broken vehicles and that you would "make it right" and I shouldn't leave a negative review online. You said it was good faith and the right thing to do. Where did that attitude and sentiment go?Haldeman Ford Inc. Response

****, our salespeople are instructed to put all promises on a document called a "we owe slip" issued at the time of sale. As I previously indicated, the vehicle was presented for sale in working order. We cannot be responsible for issues that *** arise after purchase, We offer warranties the address those.Customer Response

You bargained with me to not leave a negative review by verbally promising to fix the car. You lied to my face, you lie to my wifes face. You sold a car with broken air conditioning to a pregnant woman. You had a chance to fix it. You promised you would and then you broke your promise and called us liars. Shame on you and your staff.Review from mike s

WARNING: There may be defects with the 2022 models! Haldeman refused to guarantee my new ****************************** damage! Instead, they encouraged me to sign paperwork that would absolve them of all responsibility if there were any major problems. Mandatory Binding Arbitration Agreements are predatory dealership weapons used to protect dealerships from accountability when they defraud consumers. They refused to sell me the vehicle if I did not give up my rights to hold them accountable, therefore I have reason to believe there are defects with the 2022 models. Additionally, Haldeman kept the deposit I placed on the car after canceling the transaction. Beware of dealerships that will not sell you a vehicle unless you relinquish your rights!
