My mother turned 104 years of age in February, 2022. She had been in an assisted-living facility for about six months prior to that, and she was desperate to be back in her longstanding home, which she still owned. However, I knew that this could only happen if she had around-the-clock assistance, something that I could not provide. I heard about Grandma Joan from a social worker, and it was clear after talking with David P******* that his agency was the way to go. He identified three candidates who could provide live-in care and were willing to move to Portland, OR. We received résumés, set up interviews, and selected a caretaker. David provided a packet of information that walked us through the process, including a draft employment agreement, and referrals to a payroll service and a provider of worker's compensation insurance. He provided guidance and was ready to answer all questions. Things happened smoothly and quickly! Our caretaker was fabulous! Expert, professional, and, most importantly, caring and empathetic. My mother passed away five months after moving back home. Hospice was involved during her final month, and the team worked seamlessly with our caretaker. My mom wouldn't have been at home during these final months without Grandma Joan!

The company quickly responded to any questions. We are now a month into live-in care, and it’s the best decision my brother and I could have made for our mother with increasing dementia. To start with, he explained the entire process to me and my three children, so that we understood exactly what we were facing. In particular, he explained what parts that he could supply and what additional areas needed to be covered. At our request, he also recommended experts in these other areas. The most important step was to find a qualified live-in caregiver. After carefully assessing our needs, he located three excellent candidates for us to interview. I dont think we could have gone wrong with any one of them. The one we engaged has turned out to be a real gem. Under ****** care, my wife has been improving daily and, what is more important, she is happy. **** also recommended a company to run my company.
