I am writing this review on 12/30/31. Coast City Equipment Sales sold me a 26 foot refrigerated Box truck. They had me put 20% down. I live out of state in *************, so I signed all documentation since November, and commuted to Newjersey from ************* to pick up Truck. You would think being charged $40,000 for a 2013 truck that it would be close to great condition but this was not the case. The passenger side door has missing key entry/lock mechanism. The driver side visor is missing hook so it hangs The Headlights did not work.(I had to drive back to ************* with high beams on. The lift gate did not work properly. This place is nothing but your average crooks preying on customers. I am emphatically livid and dissatisfied, eappalled at the condition of a truck being sold for 40 thousand dollars with all those issues. Do not get robbed by these guys. Not to mention they had me insure the vehicle since November of 2021. I was billed a month of insurance without laying eyes on truck. Funds were released to these crooks on December 4th by finance company. Til today 12/30/21 I have not even received paperwork to register this Truck at Registry of Motor Vehicle! This place is the absolute worse to conduct business with. While I was driving home it started to rain, and ofcourse the windshield wipers were not working, leaving smudges and caked up dirt which is a sign that truck was not thoroughly looked over. Not to mention there was no windshield wiper fluid in the truck. There was a wind coming from passenger side as I drove. I pulled over to open and shut passenger side door to no avail. Wind continued to blow into the truck the entire ride. I am disgusted with this place. East Coast (*****) had the audacity to tell me the truck was getting all this work done to it in the beginning of the ordeal via out phone conversation(s). The only work that was done to a sub-par level was the paint job. (Not even impressed though)The only reason I drove the truck home was because my wife was in the hospital in ******** and I needed to pick her up to take her home. I am contacting my attorney first thing in the morning. I want my money back from these thieves. Take your non headlight having, visor clip missing, windshield wipers missing, wind entering from passenger seat, non functional liftgate Truck and shove it. People work hard for their money and trust businesses like you guys with their money only to get swindled!

This review is completely untrue!!This customer bought this truck for a "start-up" business and never got the business going.He had the truck well over a month and we never heard from him? He never lettered or titled it, never carried any product in it. We never heard from him for well over a month until he leaves the truck in front of our gate half on the highway and abandons it on a Sunday when we are closed? NO calls? No warning? When we tried to call him and email there was no response. He financed the truck with a bank and they were told by his insurance company that they destroyed the title because they could not get a hold of him for 30 days. When we finally made contact with him he said he did not want the truck because a bracket for the sun visor was broke and the lift gate did not work?? We took a video of the liftgate woking perfectly so he was just trying to return a truck from a failed business. I am sure the finance company is filing a claim against him.
