Company claims a **** owing from October 2017 for services and related fees not authorized. $308. Sent me to collections in 2021. Contacted them to indicate was unaware of outstanding **** as company sent me a thank you note Nov 30 2017 after I disputed ****. Never emailed me an invoice as was their practice so again assumed resolved. I moved in December 2017 so never received any mail from company. On October 28/29 2021, I offered in good faith to pay invoice $308 that showed up on my credit report, as long as they removed from my credit report. Despite not authorizing the service I offered to pay to simply resolve and put behind us. They refused to accept payment and remove from report as a misunderstanding/error.Business response

We have recorded extortion conversations from this customer threatening to post 50 fake bad reviews in exchange for us to send a letter to his credit bureau that he was "billed in error" (which is not the case here) and ONLY then he states he will pay balance owed after satisfaction letter is received.
We are terribly sorry but it does not work that way. We will send a letter that balance was satisfied when payment is received first NOT before. Now, He must also remove all fake bad reviews.
This complaint should be removed from our record as it is completely erroneous and he is using bad reviews and BBB as leverage to get us to comply with his extortion demands.
He knows he never paid his balance and his tactics are far from "good faith" ** he stated in his complaint:

I am rejecting this response because:
This business lied and threatened me. They failed to address my complaint despite numerous calls. This is for 2017 for services not approved. That's right 4 years ago, phony invoice practices. They claim to provide services but without authorization, then when you complain they threaten you and try to ruin your credit. They threatened my place of employment (which is illegal) and then when I post on their ******** page, they finally responded but with more threats. Friends sharing my story on ******** is not a threat nor extortion. This business refused to let me speak to a supervisor. ***** said he was the highest person, then later indicated his boss had to weigh in, then ***** called back with more refusals and threats. Still refusing to let me speak to anyone but him. All calls go to sales no matter who I dialed. Refused to try to reconcile the account despite me being reasonable. Refused reasonable discussion. This claim is from 4 years ago after account was settled and an entire 6 weeks before they thanked me for my business and wished me well on new house and never emailed me any follow up bills. This related to a house I sold in 2017. They claim they called you and someone said yes to services. I had told them repeatedly in 2017, no services, do not come to my house, dont call me. They insist they came anyway (without authorization after I said no???). I believe is against the law to spray my yard without approval. No contract, no agreement, some claimed call from a guy I never heard of rather than "*****" the sales guy. BE **** of ASPENN ENVIRONMENTAL. Unscrupulous. Don't take their sales calls. I looked for owners - ***************************** and *********************? Can only get the threats from *****. I cant imagine there is nobody else at Aspenn who deals with customer complaints other than the sales guy who is threatening, inflexible and unscrupulous. This is a simple fix and Aspenn just wont do the right thing.

Better Business Bureau:
I spoke directly with ********************* (the owner). **** immediately addressed my concern as a customer and diffused the situation. He agreed to remove from credit report and wrote off the invoice. I removed all negative feedback on social media. I am very satisfied with Ronn's action - great sense of customer service, very practical and good to deal with. I wish I could have spoken with him sooner in the process as he was great. Aspenn moved up a couple of notches in my book. Thank you.
