This company is a fraud, contractors be ware. They dont like to pay you. You have to fight them for two months to get paid. You charge them a late fee and they refuse to pay. Im sir they charge their tenants a late fee!Review from Khrystine H

This company is a complete joke. If I could leave them 0 star's, I would. When I lived there, we had no heat or hot water in the winter for a few days. I was told hot water wasnt a necessity and the heat will be fixed when it gets fixed. The same was told to other tenants I later found out. We also had no air multiples times and their solution was portable units that jacked up our electric bill. When they finally ordered the part (at the end of summer) it was going to be 4-6 weeks for that. We lived before it ever came in or was installed. I wouldnt be surprised if they never even fixed it after we left. There is mold throughout all the buildings and their solution is painting over it. The building locks were breaking all around the development and they said it was too much to fix them all so theyd give ************** instead. All they care about is your money and literally nothing else. They spend all their money on the landscaping to appear nice and trick you into thinking its luxury living. Avoid any of their places at all costs.Review from Mimi L

I never being more disappointed with a company in my life. Manager Very unprofessional, unethical, and a complete a** hole. Only care about getting paid and very unfair practices. This place is an absolute joke and the property manager at my current residence is the biggest joke of all. The property manager is the most unprofessional person I've ever dealt with who when I brought up a legitimate complaint against my neighbors told me that I was ***** and spiteful and the leasing violation in question had no relevant bearing on me and that they wouldn't look into. Speaking to the property manager I felt like I was having an argument with a 12 year old opposed to civil discourse aimed at a resolution. She would introduce completely irrelevant situations to the one at hand to justify her poor attitude and even went so far as to comment on my mental health (she is aware that I have a disability that affects my mental health) which is completely unacceptable.Beyond that my neighbors have harassed and threatened me, I've been bitten by their dog, they emit more smoke than an industrial factory and when I mentioned this to the management I was told "we should all just try to be neighborly". It's a so called "pet friendly community", but I've never seen a place more openly hostile to tenants with pets. If you're caught having an animal on the property (if a friend or relative visits) and it's not CLEARLY authorized by management beforehand it's an automatic $50 fine!The part that really takes the cake for me though is that they BLATANTLY admitted to an uneven application of the lease. Despite irrefutable evidence of my neighbors breaking the lease on 3 separate occasions I was told that they would not be enforcing it. This wouldn't be such an issue if I hadn't been threatened with eviction for a similarly small lease violation. Unless you're absolutely desperate with no where else to turn avoid this place like the plague!Review from Jasmine T

AJH Management demonstrates that they only care about money and new customers/renters. In *****, **, in the ******************** apartments/townhouses, it takes FOREVER for a maintenance request to be completed unless it's an emergency. Asking for anything is like pulling teeth, wisdom teeth specifically. It seems like the leasing office staff and maintenance staff work so hard to maintain this property but they really need more staff. I've been begging to have my shower repainted, begging for them to *************** apartment, even something as simple as an air filter...it seems I have to beg for that. The only way I get things done is when I go to the office and bring my notepad demanding that the work be completed and I have to continuously follow up. I understand there's a lot of properties, a lot of people, a lot of demands. But I bet this rent gets paid every month. I guess I'll start to holding my funds in escrow until they get this right. This property/location was 10x better before AJH. All they (Management) do is make sure that the landscaping looks wonderful so that they can attract new customers. Anyone out here can vouch for that statement. And I usually would not complain, but the rent is $2,000+ monthly.Review from Joseph M

Dealing with this horrible company about being Dog friendly.Shay the ignorant f*** laughing at my situation.My Dog rarely barks and has never been aggressive.This place needs to be put under another management personal! No matter what a person cannot even have a conversation with the cow Shay.My good friend's live there and are being harrased.Review from Deborah C.

The AJH management company is, in my opinion, negligent in their responsibilities to ensure the safety and quality of their properties. I live in the ***************************** in **********, ********. They are described as luxury apartments. The are two elevators and only one has worked for over a month. The swimming pool was not open at all last year. The lobby on my floor has holes in the walls and the carpet is noticeably stained. The cabinets are old and damaged. The door to the mailroom is broken and doesnt close properly. The plant containers in the front of the building are empty. The parking lot is **** with holes which make it difficult for my friends in wheelchairs to move around. The parking level lobby is filthy and the fountains have mold growing on them. One of my neighbors hasnt had cold water in his kitchen for two weeks. This is unacceptable.Review from Kalene C

******** in **********-Our apartment does not have windows that open. There is no fresh air coming into our home. I have asthma and this has been greatly affecting me. In addition, we have filed emergency maintenance requests for washer and dish washers not working and they refused to help us. Theyre always smelly trash in the hallways and its never taken away or cleaned. The hallways have ripped carpets and exposed wires those pose an electrical hazard.Review from frank R

Our community in the Eastwick section of ************ has been trying to contact AJH to take care of the grounds of ***************************** - the apartments they own and manage. They ignore all requests and their lack of taking care of their property is creating blight and dangerous conditions for all residents, particularly the elderly and children. They are a huge liability to their insurance companies. Our community is reaching out to politicians for assistance. AJH is a disgrace. All they need to do is take care of the grounds surrounding their property yet they refuse to.
