I originally gave this company 5 Stars but after using the water mitigation system its definitely changed. Its constantly not working and I've had them out 4 times and got charged twice to fix the same part. I think the biggest reason you shouldn't use this company is that they have no accountability. While they were "fixing" my water system I gave the workers specific instructions not allow the dog in the room and lock the door. The dog was let in and proceeded to eat rat poison. The dog is ok but I've reached out to **** and **** and they refuse to take responsibility. Don't let these people in your home because they wont take responsibility and they will refuse to show you there Certificate of insurance. I had to call 4 times and they refuse to show any liability insurance. **** had **** call me to negotiate the vet bill and wanted me to sign waiver. Just dirty people and don't do business with this company.Review from Glenn P

Nice technician, bad communication. After radon remediation, the first test came back from the lab saying that it had been in the mail too long. I followed every instruction and used their packaging and mailing label. When I complained, they sent another test, which passed.30 days later, they sent a letter saying that I must have the inspections completed within 30 days. Hmmmm.... The letter also said, "Once the final inspection is completed, you must phone our office so that we can close out your file. ... Failure to complete these inspections could result in the loss of Radon Reduction Warranty." The letter is from "*************************, President" and has no phone number. Hmmmmm.... I feel like I'm being set up for no warranty. If ******* really wants customers to complete this step, they should at least include the phone number that they demand we call, and -- better -- they should include an email address so that customers can send a copy of their completed inspections. Customers would also have some evidence that we have notified *******.Review from Lawyer N

Absolute bunch of crooks. They have a monopoly for water testing and dont give a c*** about customer service or quality testing. I asked for a specific metric and they said it would be included in the test. They then said it was an internal number. For someone testing the water my family uses, I wouldnt trust this unethical and vile company with something so valuable. I complained about their service and they proceeded to gaslight me. They better hope I dont decide to one day open a water testing company because I will actually care about the water people drink and provide quality services.Review from Jackie A.

Disgusting service!!! They charged 487 dollars to change a light bulb!!! They are crooks and the tech said they would said a report but did not and claimed the radioactive levels were internal information. Never use this company for your water needs. I called and complained and they hung up. Disgusting as this is water my family drinks!Review from Ray E

These people don't know what they're doing. The person who is buying my house hired them to do a radon test. They went into a basement with an open window and a fan running and set up their test. Naturally, it failed and they bold-faced lied about it, claiming their tech closed the window and shut off the fan and that someone else must have gone down there and reopened the window and turned on the fan. Nobody had been in that basement during that test. The house was vacant. I went down there to check the window myself and it had cobwebs on the crank, indicating that they never closed it in the first place, as they claimed, before setting up their test. Naturally, they wanted us to pay for another test, even though it was clearly the tech's inexperience that caused this mistake. What professional would set up a radon test in a basement with an open window and a fan running knowing that would mess up the results of the test? If their tech's don't know what they're doing, that's their responsibility. Not the customer. The worst part is that they didn't own the mistake and did nothing to make it right. I am going to pay for another radon test myself, but I insisted the buyer use another company because these people are untrained, unprofessional, and dishonest. I see this tech is also licensed with the ****** plan to file a complaint with them as well.Review from VAL

RA **** is the only company doing well water and radon tests near my home in ******* **. They were hired by the buyers of our property (radon), and referred by our realtor (for the water testing) because they are "the only game in town". And therein lies the issue - they are the only game in town, and they are both tester and remediator. A massive conflict of interest. I believe the whole thing is a scam. Not a minute after failing both tests (I wont go into all the background, but both fails seemed highly unlikely),we received glossy marketing brochures with fixed prices for remediation. Not immaterial fixed prices - remediating both cost us about $5k. This scam is perpetrated at a time when sellers are under tight time constraints, under great stress and are about to come into one of the larger paydays of life - the perfect storm for getting away with ****. We were caught in their trap because we didn't have the information to allow us to avoid - take my advice: if you are selling in this area, start now to look for another company who will test for water/radon. Most likely they will have to be from out of the area - trust me, it will be well worth the price to travel them in. Ensure it's a company who doesn't remediate!!!! Then, if you legit fail, feel free to use RAdata . . the people who do the actual work seem competent, and we had no issues with them. The issue is 100% that they are scamming people into spending thousands on unnecessary work.Review from Mi Q

My home inspector sent the charcoal radon test kits to this company, which came back at 1.8 from both the east and west end of the basement. Naturally, I called RAdata to initiate servicing for my 10 year old radon mitigation system. I spoke to ****** on 2/19/21 and told her that I would like to further lower the level since I have a young 3 year old son. ****** ****** explained the fee structure and that after the servicing that she noted that I will get two charcoal test kits for post-service testing. I had to wait 3 weeks for my (weekday only) appointment on 3/12/21 from 9a-12p. The day before my appointment, RAdata called to confirm my appointment for 12p-5pm because they have another job that turned out to be more time consuming. That is technically rescheduling my appointment since my original time is in the morning and then they tried to push my appointment back one week later. I told them that I changed my work schedule around for this appointment 3 weeks ago and that I cannot reschedule. After a little wait on the phone, they confirmed that they can come at the original time and date. Come the appointment day, the tech immediately recommends a new fan called fantech model Rn-4ec4 (their biggest and most expensive fan) that costs over $400 because it can lower the radon level. I went with it since my fan is already 10 years old. The tech sealed the French drain in the closet with the mitigation system. He recommended changing the manometer (just because it is 10 years old). I asked why does it need to be changed. He said because the liquid inside is usually clear but a color is put in it to make it more readily readable (even though it was still bright red). It was a no brainer that I didnt go with it. I asked for a receipt for the service totaling over $700 and the tech said that it will be emailed to me. I did not get the receipt until I kept asking for it 3 weeks later. During the initial intake call with ******, she took my credit card information so they could be charging me anything they wanted to without providing a receipt to me. It is obvious to me that they dont read the intake phone note which clearly says to leave me two charcoal test kits but they only brought one so I had to wait another week to get another set of kits to do test the radon level. Well, drum roll... the levels came back 1.6 and 1.9 averaging 1.75. In other words, no difference in the level after servicing. I called RAdata and spoke to one of the supervisors, ******, who was very helpful and sympathetic since I was rightfully upset that the radon levels pre and post servicing was similar. ****** patched in a tech specialist, **** *******, who was incredibly rude. I explained to him all the mishaps and run around with RAdata and that I cannot recommend the company with good faith and that my review of the company will be conditional on how they remediate the radon level. He proceeded to tell me that technically it was a servicing of the radon system and not mitigating the system because they did not install the original system, which means that their goal was not to lower the radon level. (I was thinking to myself - what does it matter what technical name you want to call it. On my intake call I was very specific that I wanted the radon level to be lowered. And the goal is always to lower or maintain and acceptable level.). He also said that no one (at the company?) will help me if I put a condition on writing a bad review and that I was defensive (when I explained all the mishaps with the company). ****** promptly jumped in on the conference call and apologized for his belligerent behavior. This guy needs training on customer service. I never dealt with him again and ****** connected me with the tech supervisor, **** ******, who came to my home to run diagnostics. **** ran air flow tests at two points in the basement. There was no airflow at the point farthest from the mitigation system. His solution was to install 1) a second system, 2) an energy recovery ventilation system. He recommended the latter because of the finished basement and that this *** can be installed in the unfinished area. The latter also costs over $3000. After **** left, I called two other companies, both owners told me that everyone in the radon field knows that *** DOES NOT WORK for mitigating radon. **** later came back to me and gave a 3rd recommendation - to change the current 3 PVC to 4 with the current mitigation system for almost $1800. I keep questioning him how this 4 pipe will reach the point of the room farthest from the mitigation system since there is no air flow. He said simply because of the 4PVC pipes. I also asked **** twice about who will be installing the system and got no answer. The owner ******** of ************ agreed with me that the 4 pipes will not work. We need a second mitigation system due to the size of the basement and possibly additional suction points from each system. ******** the owner also personally did the installation of the second radon system at my home. The decision was clear for me to pay the same circa $2000+ to ************ over RAdata for a multitude of reasons. I lost total faith in RAdata. I will not recommend this company because I sincerely question their competence. And as other reviewers have mentioned, I also think that they are a scam.
