    CBM was hired to move me on 9/20/22. On top of the excessive damage to the majority of my furniture, other items, and the walls and woodwork leading to my apartment, my floor lamp "missing", finding the crew in the back of the truck an hour after they arrived with a few empty bottles admittedly drinking a few of my nips that they helped themselves to, I had to spend the day feeling uneasy and intimidated with a visibly agitated, in a rush, rude, undue influencing crew chief. After several back and forth attempts for fair and just resolution, I have none. While I appreciate the "courteous gesture" of a partial, $600 refund on the full amount I was charged. $1,210.98, that still leaves me paying the other portion to them for putting me through this horrible disturbing experience. The restorer sent "at their cost" touched up maybe 3-4 minor damaged areas on 2 pieces of furniture. The other damaged items were buried in storage and that didnt matter because the majority type of damage he said he could not repair, especially the dining room table that was DELIBERATELY gouged just before CBM quickly exited my apartment, jumped in the truck and sped off down the street without a word. During the very first phone call response from my initial complaint email, I was informed that the damage to the table was admitted to. I did not warrant any of this mistreatment. I remained pleasant even after finding them drinking, destroying my fireplace, and damaging one item after another. The longer this carries out the more damages I am discovering. The contracts you are pushed to sign are written in the tiniest print, excessive, and you are not given a chance to look them over when they are shoved in front of you with undue influence by an agitated crew chief that has made it obvious he had somewhere else he needed to be. Additional insurance should not be necessary and was never mentioned. I am happy to supply copies of all corresponding emails and pictures documenting all of it.

    BEWARE of this company, my experience this past July was beyond AWFUL! Going with CBM was total waste of money despite the fact that NO MOVING services were provided. Ultimately I lost both the $200 deposit as well as being cheated out of an additional $488! Even before moving day, initial set up and obtaining an estimate, was extremely frustrating and protracted. The agent apologized that he failed to followup, but an even WORSE OUTCOME followed. I accept my part in this debacle, that is, after staying up all night packing, I fell asleep in the rear of my condo, without my phone. Despite all the windows and doors being open, I did not hear them. Following their arrival (one hour earlier than previously arranged), the foreman reported that they called out "movers are here" multiple times, but only from the front door. Why he did not think to go to the rear of the condo is unclear. After waiting around for awhile, he decided to LEAVE WITHOUT MAKING CONTACT OR MOVING ANYTHING. The foreman stated he was unwilling to cross the condo's threshhold to yell upstairs, ok I can understand that. But his failure to walk to the rear of the house and call out from there was clearly a contributing factor. If he had, the move would have happened, instead, I was left powerless to recover. The company was completely rude and rigid re this situation. While I understand their need to cover some of the expenses incurred in getting there, I feel the company took advantage of me. The company could have mitigated the monetary loss by considering the foreman's incomplete efforts to contact me. CBM is an inconsiderate outfit, with questionable ethics. I had to hire another company who actually completed the job! If your thinking of hiring CBM, STOP, and consider my experience. This companies unwillingness to take any responsibility for this situation cost me more than too much $. They did not live up to an BBB A plus rating IMO. I would give a negative star rating if I could!

    Ms. *******'s review dated 10/3/22 is in reference to her booked job on 7/8/22. She was confirmed with a window of arrival time. Upon our crew arriving within that window, several attempts were made to contact Ms. *******. No answer on the phone or knocking on the front door. Crew waited an hour and returned back to the shop. Our crew had round trip travel from Merrimack, NH to Clinton, MA plus the hour waiting for the customer to respond to attempts to contact and begin the job. As a result, she was responsible for the 3 hours of labor and truck fees. Later she called the office, saying she fell asleep. It is completely unrealistic to expect our crew to wander around the customers property looking for ways to make contact other than by phone or the front door!

    Accompanied with inappropriate very foul language by the customer to the Operations Manager, College Bound Movers was no longer willing to accommodate rescheduling her and she hung up. Our Terms and Conditions and Policies are very clear and we are not responsible for customers not ready for their move when crews have been dispatched. We wish her the best.
